The perfect diet solution (thank me after 2 weeks please)
To all the people stressing over diets. I have heard many suggestions for diets but I think I have finally found something that works 100%. you can thank me later, first give this a try for about 2 weeks
Many diets and specialists suggest that to loose weight and be healthy, you should replace junk food with healthy food, eat more vegetables, drink more milk for strong bones instead of alcohol, eat more fruits etc etc. that's great however, that does not help you loose weight. they also say you should exercise, do cardio and whatever. The only valid suggestions from those above are the ones about exercise and cardio. let me explain People seem to think that eating less junk food, and more fruits and vegetables has something to do with being healthy. it doesn't. the only reason those things are having a negative effect on your life is because you're lacking other factors that balance/neutralize them, such as working out and running you don't have to eat healthy or have fruits and vegetables to get in shape. you don't have to stop drinking alcohol either. Here is how it's done: no matter what you eat, it can be the worse possible diet imaginable do the following: - when you're at mcdonalds thinking of ordering 4 big macs, order 2 instead - when you're sitting at home alone, stuffing your face with chocolates, have 1 box instead of the usual 2 - when sitting at a restaurant and the waiter asks you if that's all and you say yes, call him back to order more food 1 time instead of the usual 2 times. - when your blind date meets you at the ice cream parlor, and leaves for no reason after seeing you, consider eating only your own ice cream (have 1 instead of 2) what i'm getting at, is that normally we all tend to have way more per meal than we really need. i have tried the above strategy and i have never felt hungry. just go in, have whatever you're going to have, but when you're half way done, stop and think whether or not you really need anymore. in 95% of the cases you're full at the halfway point of your meal and you're fine. that's all that it comes down to. you're guaranteed to loose at least some weight no matter what kind of food you're having. if you can't handle half the usual, take only 3/4 of it until your stomach becomes normal size again. this is why i say that what you eat has absolutely nothing to do with how healthy you are. you need to eat less, and to exercise more and more each day. if you need vegetables or fruit, you'll know when you get scurvy. until then it's no big deal and only extra pressure for the diet plan take my word for it, i'm 5 11, 190 pounds 8.1% body fat, believe me, i eat at mcdonalds, harveys and all the other such places. I don't really care about having vegetables or fruit or milk. i do go to the gym 3hours/day and run 10km but that's secondary to my physique. give the above a shot for about 2 weeks and message me to tell me how you're feeling if you have any questions, i am willing to share my workout routine in this thread, do not hesitate to message me. |

the idea that you think what you eat doesn't effect your health is absolutely 100% assbackwards wrong. ever hear the saying, "You are what you eat"? Well you ARE. For instance, let's take 2 individuals cloned from eachother as babies and stick one on a diet that consists of junkfood/fastfood throughout his entire life, and then take the other one that consists of healthier clean foods... if you think the one that eats junkfood/fastfood is going to be "just as healthy" as the other, you're wrong.
Yes, everything is made up of calories whether it is bad food or not. Protein, Fat and Carbohydrates. But there are different types of fats, and different types of carbohydrates. Fast food / junkfood in particular are filled with the bad types of fats (saturated) and simple carbohydrates (the bad type) - eating a lot of both will lead to poor health and is proven to be the underlying cause to many disorders / diseases / cancers. Sure, simply eating less of bad food will result in weight loss, but you will still be unhealthy if fast food is an integral part of your daily diet. Eating healthier foods will make you feel better, and really help you lose fat a lot easier. |

you're RIGHT that the transition is usually difficult for most people, because they are changing a significant aspect of their life. but how will "initially" just cutting back on the amount of bad food they eat, make the inevitable transition any easier? it will still be just as difficult. the best thing people can do to make the transition from one diet to another, is by really sitting down, figuring out exactly what foods they need to buy, when to eat those foods, and begin slowly integrating the plan within their life. it still isn't easy, it isn't easy making any change in your life... but that is as easy as it will get. simply cutting back on the amount of bad food isn't the right solution, even though it is a step in the right direction. |

dude, what the fuck are you smoking? you obviously have been smoking some good shit. eating is 80%. the food you eat is detrimental to your overall health. If someone is looking to lose weight, the first thing they need to do is design a new diet with lean meats, fresh veggies & fruits, not eat less of the same shit that got them fat, bloated & cancerous. I think I actually lost brain cells reading your posts.

for those that cant handle a strict diet or fitness plan, at the very least reducing your calorie intake sounds like a good thing, easier than quitting cold turkey

First of all it varies per individual, everyone has a different metabolic rate. My nephews can stuff their faces 24/7 with EVERYTHING you can imagine and they still look athletic... if I do that I'll blow up like a friggin' balloon.
Aside from that eating healthy WILL advance physique in combination with training. It's not about eating less, it's about eating more often and nutritious. Your advice might be reasonable for the average fat webmaster but anyone serious about weightloss should not listen to you.

I made the decision two months ago to change my lifestyle, which meant joining a gym and hiring a personal trainer. He and I have worked together to create a nutritious eating system for me, which revolves around foods I will eat, not foods I won't eat, such as low fat mayo. I'd rather poke a stake through my eye than eat man made foods, so my diet revolves around fruits, veggies, lean meats, fish and eating five or six times a day. My caloric intake is 1224 calories and I train three days a week, along with cardio four to five times a week.
I have gone down three sizes in clothes and I've lost a consistent pound a week. I was never heavy until I moved to Seattle and started cooking for my honey. I gained all the weight. Being sedentary didn't help, either. When we decided to put in a flag stone patio and I had to sit every fifteen minutes, it was either do something or die. Any and all my athleticism and muscle tone was gone, after seven years of ignoring my health. Today I can and do walk to the store, I have more energy and I don't have the aches and pains I had prior to working out. What Galleryseek says is true. And, may I say, Galleryseek, if you are anything like my trainer...you guys show NO mercy.

Sticking to a good diet and exercise routine takes a lot of hardwork. Whatever you choose, you need to put not just your mind but you heart to succeed in it.

There is nothing wrong with being healthy, but dont forget that when it is your day, it is your day.
I worked with a guy that was a triathlete. He would ride 35 miles one way to work, and then home. He ate VERY healthy, and one day fell over dead at home.

I agree with you to a certain degree....It's all comon sense. I eat junk food on the weekends and spend the whole week working out and eating healthy! McDonalds offers absolutely no nutrients or vitamins to your body (But it will increase your cholesterol) I say moderation is key!
I hate to blow my own own but I've had a baby and I'm very close to turning 30 and I feel and look better than I did at 20!!!! |

that way after about a week, you'll see that you're not reaching initially for portions as large as before. by about the 10th day you'll notice even a slight change in your weight. that will only encourage you because you're not going to have to spend money on "healthy" foods, and you'll be spending less on the good ole junk food, leaving more money for alcohol or other important things |

thats basically what that gastric bypass surgery does to you. takes every meal you eat & cuts it down to like 1 egg-sized portion of food, instead of lbs of food.

The only diet you need is not a diet, it's just knowledge
The Truth is knowing what is hunger. 95% of the time you think you are hungry. Truth is you are not hungry, your body is thirsty!! And you eat a shitload thinking you are hungry... Next time your hungry, go chug down a glass of ice water and chew the ice.... Why ice water? your body burns extra calories because of the ice in your tummy trying to make it warm and you are also killing the craving at the same time, Double whammy Wheee! Drinking 0 calories and burning off an extra 50-100 while removing your craving for food, which is a mental error, your not addicted to food heheh |

Loosing wight is quite simple - burn more calories than you eat, the problem is that most of the people don't have the willpower to do that, I'm in areally good shape but I want to loose these 2-3 cm around my waist and I can not.
I gym, I do cardio at the gym, I walk every day to the shops (not too far but still) but how can I give up the pizzas or the nachos or ...... |
