give it at least 2 weeks bud, it's not that hard really, all you do is eat slowly, make sure that you stop half way, or if that's too early, at the 3/4 mark of the meal, and think and convince yourself that you don't really want the rest.
that way after about a week, you'll see that you're not reaching initially for portions as large as before. by about the 10th day you'll notice even a slight change in your weight. that will only encourage you because you're not going to have to spend money on "healthy" foods, and you'll be spending less on the good ole junk food, leaving more money for alcohol or other important things
