What do you guys do to lose weight?

I lifted weights heavy for at least 10 years never really worrying about FAT,thinking that if your chest is bigger than your stomach it's all good.Well I stopped working out about 4 years ago and I have no desire to lift weights anymore.
The strange thing is I still weigh the same about 220 but alot fatter.I want to trim my mid section and hold on to muscle.I ride my bike about 30 minutes a day and have seen some improvement but not enough.Tren makes my hair fall out...lol
I'm looking for a solid regimine

Consume less calories than you burn.

This isn't rocket science.

I got down to 130 lbs. (skin and bones) on crystal meth.

It was so effective that we called it the Crystal Light diet.

Here's the secret though ... you have to keep doing it or you'll gain 100 lbs. eight years after you stop.

Sure, you won't have friends, family, money or security if you do that diet, but at least you'll be thin!

(don't actually try this at home)

- Drink plenty of water
- Be careful of sodium intake
- Eat 1g protein per day for every pound of lean body weight
- Eliminate canned + frozen foods
- Don't undereat! Have at least 1800 calories, probably more depending on your activity level/weight.

Same here. I just decided I'm going to start making my own hot sauces and salsas, this way I can control exactly what's in it. Store-bought I think one of the lowest-sodium is just typical tobasco sauce, but I don't like it's flavor that much.

I have like 90g protein in my morning blueberry smoothie (using a powder), but then the rest of my day is natural proteins (poultry, fish, meats, beans, nuts, vegetables). Since I mostly hate seafood though, I take some GNC Omega-3 Fish Oil supplement.

Drink only water, eat stuff with lower calories and on the lower end of the fat and sugar spectrum. It can be pretty easy, like I made beef tacos the other night, I bought smaller sized burrito bread things than the large ones and I bought the leanest beef and to make it tastier since super lean beef cannot compare to beef with all the fat I bought like a bunch of different veggies and hot sauce and shit to put in it to make it taste awesome.....

just use some common sense when picking out food. And honestly eliminate desert its a waste, just eat a bananna or make a smoothie where you just toss a few fruits in a blender.....

Exerciese doing cardio ie bike riding running etc, unless you physically cant do more, dont consider walking exercising. Ive seen tons of people walk like a mile and then say, now I can eat a bacon cheeseburger at micky dees, yeah not even close to matching calories burnt vs ate LOL

Just some ideas...

Nah im just kidding i wouldnt suggest AAS to anyone let alone someone just getting back in the game. Tren will destroy your tendons and ligaments due to the amount of strength youd gain in such a short period of time. If you were taking tren before you must have some knowledge of nutrition and weight training, no?

Another piece of advice is to use a tracker like livestrong.com or something. At least for a month or so, you may be surprised at some foods you thought are healthy and how much harm they actually contain. I find it helps to keep you on track when you are aware of exactly what you have eaten that day, as well.

Forget other people's plans, you need to find what works for you.

Do you enjoy cardio type activities? Then you should find a cardio routine you like and just eat relatively clean. Get a bike and ride an hour a day. You'll lose a few pounds a week.

Do you hate cardio? Then you will need to find a super strict diet that works for you.

Personally, I think cardio is better than strict dieting. It's better for you and you look better afterward, especially for people over 30. Dieting makes your body look all weird. Cardio seems to make you lose fat much more evenly.

Or even better, stop eating altogether because your body doesn't need energy to keep your metabolism going, right?

- Drink a gallon of water each day at least.
- Cut out junk from your diet (i.e. processed foods, candy, soft drinks, etc.) and try to eat whole foods (i.e. for carbs eat vegetables, fruits, brown rice, sweet potatoes, whole wheat bread and pasta; for protein eat chicken, tuna, eggs, salmon and steak; for essential fats consume olive oil, flax oil, nuts)
- Eat carbs early in the day and immediately after your workout. After that just eat protein sources, fat sources and vegetables for the rest of the day.
- Try to eat 4+ small meals. Protein shakes are a great way to squeeze in a "meal" without much effort. You should feed your body some sort of protein every three hours.
- Try HIIT (high intensity interval training) instead of low intensity cardio. It doesn't take as long, is not as boring, burns the same calories in less time, burns more fat, etc., etc. ... The only reason anyone should be doing low intensity cardio is if they engage in a sport that requires it (i.e. soccer or marathon running).
- Go swimming if you can. It's the best exercise you can get.
- Lift weights again. It burns more calories than cardio and adding muscle mass means you can burn more calories overall.

Those are some rough pointers. There are very specific diets you can do where you count calories, time carbs, carb cycle, etc. but if you want to wing it mostly then that should help a good bit. If you just wanted alternatives for riding a bike for 30mins as far as sports go:
- Climbing is a good full body workout.
- Boxing/MMA or any type of fight training will kick your ass, be fairly fun and get you in shape.
- Swimming is great exercise.
- Sled dragging, beating on a tire with a hammer, digging holes with a shovel, etc. are all good exercise too.

Well is actually really easy... if you don't create a caloric deficit then you won't lose any weight. You need to know what you eat.

First you should start eliminating all sugars and simple carbs like: ketchup, white bread, white rice, beer, mayonnaise, sodas, bakery products, chocolates and candy, etc

Then eat about 5 to 6 times per day instead of 3 times. Small portions about the size of your hand.

Drink like a fish: water is the secret to lose fat

Eat good carbs like oatmeal and sweet potato and never eat carbs after 3 p.m.

Do cardio every day if possible for about 10 to 45 min

Stop ALL fast foods

I hope this helps. I actually mesure everything I eat so I know how many calories I'm taking, but that's becuase I into Fitness and MMA. but if you follow this tips for sure you will start to lose fat.

Cheers!

unless you're planning on running a marathon, you don't need cardio to lose weight. Eat raw vegetables between meals. The darker the color the better. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fit_for_Life

you got to move it, move it. lol I guess you don't want to weight train but weight loss starts with your diet.

Eat natural, if it doesnt grow out of the ground or wasnt living at one time - just dont eat it. veggies, fruits and meat

Don't eat more than a fistful of any food - it keeps you in check if you're in doubt.

Stay away from too much salt and sugar.

Keep hydrated with water - it makes you regular. But dont over do it - as you can get water poisoning and mess up your insides over time.

Don't do drugs. lol seems like everyone is a steroid pharmacist nowadays but couldn't pass high school science. we all have ticking time bombs within us and when you experiment with drugs you're just going to wake the dormant bomb quicker. do it clean and you'll never have regrets.

If you're not lifting weights then do some kind of cardio but i say about at least 40-60 minutes, 4 times a week and eat reasonably healthy the fat sheds off.

I guess biking, rollerblading, jogging are good options for non gym goers. If you get bored easily then possibly go play an organized sport like soccer, hockey or basketball. Time will fly by quickly and you'll make friends in the process and shed pounds.

Hope it helps. Maybe introduce weight training later down the road once or twice a week for 20 minutes, it will help your progress plus strengthen your core against injury. There's so many things you can do with your own body weight, pushups, jumping jacks, skipping rope, squats etc.

good luck

This works if you go to bed at 9pm.

You will, however, have to refuse the cup of warm milk your mother brings you before tucking you in.

Walk in the park and see many animals. Fast for a day or few days.

Don't eat shitty, fatty foods, do some form of exercise every single day, don't over do it tho, 1 day workout real hard, next day take a 30min walk, next day train hard again.

For me I lose weight very very easily if I run 4-5 miles per day. I literally falls off me. When I lived in Malta I was doing it every Mon-Fri and in 3-4 weeks I had dropped a lot of weight.

I've been going to the gym again after a long break and I've done some pretty good work on myself over the past few months. I guess working out before helped a lot, because the results are decent.
Eating better and less will help a lot too ;)

I am on an all you can eat diet....has not been working out LOL

honestly for me it is just a matter of opening the front door, I sometimes go weeks without stepping out side because I am either too busy or just busy enough so that my time time is spent thinking about how busy I am LOL

I would suggest getting a puppy and cutting your portion sizes

I do not build so I cannot be taken seriously. However, I have maintained by 190Lbs (5'10") without a gut just fine like this:

Food is not entertainment.
Boredom is not the time to eat.
Food is for survival.

Hunger is a complex and simple mechanism to understand:
-Low bellies tell the brain when they're low.
--The brain then tells you to eat something. Usually nothing specific.
---Flavor in the mouth will trick the brain into thinking food is on it's way, and the stomach relaxes the signals back to the brain. This is a good use of gum to help you last until you actually need to eat.
-Empty bellies ALERT the brain when they're empty.
--The brain then MOTIVATES you to eat something. Usually something specific, and often with a sense of urgency.
---Flavor in the mouth MIGHT trick the brain into thinking food is on it's way temporarily. This might work, depending on how empty you are + how much activity you're doing.

Sometimes, you can be on empty and not realize it because you're not doing much to burn energy. And then the moment you're active your body starts needing what it doesn't have. This is where you experience panic and hunger, or the sensation of seeing stars or even vertigo. That's how you know you've been at the xbox too long.

When you eat, and then sleep, your body doesn't burn what you've just eaten, so it stores it.
When you eat and feel tired right away, that's because your body is working really hard at processing it. Sometimes it's the result of over eating, or eating something hard to break down like steak.
When you DO NOT EAT - the starvation diet - your body goes on the defensive and stores as much as it can get, and burns up what it already has available. The results are muscle loss and fat gain. You might look thinner but you're going to be a weakling with a poor immune system, the wrong skin color and probably a cough or cold most of the time.

So, for losing weight and managing a stable body I recommend an understanding of your body + eating when you actually need it, not any other time. Obviously you have to consider WHAT you eat. Feeding sugar (processed or not) to an empty belly is not going to produce positive results. Stick to as much non-processed foods as you can, and that includes eating animal products that are free of added hormones and antibiotics.
