Man I'm not sure what you two have going on but I would never fly to another country (even next door) to get a refund or work out a deal. I also wouldn't deny someone money because they were an asshole on the phone. Not liking ones attitude is not a reason to not take care of them.

Very nice post Chris. I think this more then shows Split is willing to resolve this issue and make it right for both sides involved.

I believe that not all the details are spilled here and I respect Chris for not turning this into a pissing match, or anything else, but to meet face to face and work it out.

I hope this all works out and both sides are happy and we can all get back to making money. People can bash on Split all they want, but they have been one of the most professional people I have come across in many years.

Get promised the servers will be up and running in 72 hours.. few weeks later only 4 are running.. then you're told there was a fine, but there's no proof... you give the company the benfit of the doubt.. you come to an agreement but it's not honoured since they don't actually send money back... then they admit they're fucking you over....

Well... That's one hosting company I'll never do business with regardless of how many buddies come out of the woodwork to say they're a top notch company run by stand up guys.. Since I don't "party" I suspect I would never be a prefered customer and so could expect this sort of unprofessional treatment.. Sounds like it's run by kids.

Regardless of anything, I have nothing agaist bdjuff or his partner nor do i want to get inovled but what I would like to say is that we did indeed have more then 4 boxes up actually we had 12 up in the first week and no more then a day later they managed to get 8 of them compromised end result, with the 4 boxes they had or the 3 they had already owned i do not remeber one of them was ethier hacked and or they were sending out spam, and I do not judge let them do what they do, but in the end they ended up getting a hole class c blocked from our network, and caused us alot of grief. As I said, I do not hate bdjuf and him and I have talked and we get along but the truth should be told.

I do agree that fighting someone unprofessional by being unprofessional is not the way to do business. Everyone does things there own way. I am unsure why anyone would need to bring all of their content, and every document they have saying they work in adult to meet someone.

NOTHING can explain lying and stringing a client along for months because their partner made threats. Threats are to be expected in any service industry when stressed out people think they are getting screwed over.

If the service provider is a "stand up" professional, they will not take that threat as leverage and license to screw the client over and lie to them like that.

I believe that not all the details are spilled here and I respect Chris for not turning this into a pissing match, or anything else, but to meet face to face and work it out. People can bash on Split all they want, but they have been one of the most professional people I have come across in many years. Get promised the servers will be up and running in 72 hours.. few weeks later only 4 are running.. then you're told there was a fine, but there's no proof... you give the company the benfit of the doubt.. you come to an agreement but it's not honoured since they don't actually send money back... then they admit they're fucking you over.... Well... That's one hosting company I'll never do business with regardless of how many buddies come out of the woodwork to say they're a top notch company run by stand up guys.. Since I don't "party" I suspect I would never be a prefered customer and so could expect this sort of unprofessional treatment.. Sounds like it's run by kids.

split_joel Confirmed User Join Date: Jan 2005 Posts: 2,270	Regardless of anything, I have nothing agaist bdjuff or his partner nor do i want to get inovled but what I would like to say is that we did indeed have more then 4 boxes up actually we had 12 up in the first week and no more then a day later they managed to get 8 of them compromised end result, with the 4 boxes they had or the 3 they had already owned i do not remeber one of them was ethier hacked and or they were sending out spam, and I do not judge let them do what they do, but in the end they ended up getting a hole class c blocked from our network, and caused us alot of grief. I wouldn't want to leave my loved ones, especially so close to christmas, to get a refund that's apparently entitled... chris even admitted "I fucked him over"... threats and big mouth partners should have no impact on the business side of things.. assuming that the big mouth partner has no effect on the other's business.. we all work on the internet - it's a global business that 99% of us can do without ever leaving the house... oh well.. weird stuff..
