Would you consider this being out of shape?

First day getting back in shape I am 220 lbs and should be 200 lbs! So I started out doing?

50 jumping jacks 4 sets
25 toe touchers 4 sets
25 push ups 4 sets
25 sit ups 4 sets

I hit the bag for 3 sets of 1 min rounds and I am tired as balls
I think I am out of shape?

BT, I started working out hard about 1 1/2 months ago to lose some weight for my upcoming wedding. My trainer AKA "Girth Vader" put me on a pretty heavy duty workout schedule to lose the weight. My schedule basically consists of this

I do 35 minutes on the eliptical early in the day to get my heart rate/metabolism kicked into gear.

Then later in the evening I go for my full workout (2 bodyparts per day, 3 exercises per musclegroup) then afterwards I do another 35 minutes on the eliptical.

I do this schedule 6 days a week...I started out at around 6"0 250lbs... Now I am down in the 230's and am feeling awesome. Just need to lose another 15-20 pounds and I will be at my target weight.

Keep up the motivation bro!

DH

Sounds like a good workout. Be consistant with whatever you do, and push your limits. The results will come, enjoy the journey.

DH would be down to 215 right now if he could just lay off the beer, twinkies and Ho Hos!
nah, but seriously he's stickin to it and doing very well, as should you. It all comes in time. but heres some free advice: its 90% diet. so u can train like a madman but if u still eat crap foods you will never see the real results. that routine doesnt seem like much, but combine that with a good regimented eating plan and the results will definately come. And gym memberships are only good if you go, so unless you have someone to push you to get there, keep the home routine bro.
Good luck!
any questions just ask!

Girth.

Once I heal up, which should be end of this month, we need to hit the gym together.

If you're out of condition I would take it slower in the beginning, could do more harm than good.

im addicted to the gym now.

first day at the gym, i was a smoker that smoked 2 packs a day & i couldnt even walk 1/4 of a mile without having a fuckin heart attack.

now im a non-smoker (for over a month now), and i can RUN 3 miles in 25 mins

oh, and when i say "addicted", i truly am. i have a hard time sleeping at night if i dont work out cuz my muscles are all tense & shit.

Dude that is what I tell everyone when they ask me why I live in such a small town in the middle of nowhere. If I lived in Montreal, Vancouver, Ft Lauderdale etc... I would be 500lbs, strung out on coke and partying like a rockstar.

Living in a small town keeps me out of trouble ;)
