Einstein's riddle is the coolest..(dunno if someone posted it yet, didn't browse the whole 6 pages)

There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain type of pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.

The question is: "Who owns the fish?"

Hints:
The Brit lives in the red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green house's owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the center house drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water

-------
It is said that only 2% of the population can solve this riddle...I call bullshit...it's not even hard to solve it...you just have to play with a shitloads of small piece of paper for a while and you'll find it...took me about an hour to figure it out..and I really don't think i'm in the 2% smartest people around LOL...well..maybe! :Graucho

The way it's written, the word "and" is between heaven and earth. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, though.

SpaceAce

DJRCyberAVS 08-13-2003 09:16 PM

the word And.

I think Einstein himself might have said that. He may have been referring to doing it in your head, though, because with some paper and a bit of time, it's not all that tough.

Wozzer the magician, claims he can tell the score of any football game before it even starts. Many think he is psychic or something. How is it that he can be accurate abut the score 99 percent of the time at least?

If someone can do it in it's head...yeah I guess he's definitly a genius LOL...but when I said I did it with pieces of paper, I didn't just take guesses and assume where they were and went from there...I did it using all the clues...only one statement will be useful with the info you gather with each statement..it is kinda hard...briently written riddle anyway!

By predicting that it won't be a tie?

By predicting that the score won't be 99 to 5?

Bah, those are weak answers. I will have to think a bit more on this.

I don't know...but he should bet on games he'd make a shitload of money! :)

Also...I wanna know the trick! :Graucho
But just wondering, do you mean the exact score? (like 42-21) or just who will win the game?

completetosser 08-13-2003 09:22 PM

Can anyone give me a sentence (that makes sense) with the word 'and' used 5 consecutive times ? ie and and and and and

completetosser 08-13-2003 09:23 PM

the score is 0-0 before it starts

DJRCyberAVS 08-13-2003 09:24 PM

Because the score is always nil-nil (0-0) at the beginning of game.

Want me to post the answer to the five 'and's ?

freeadultcontent 08-13-2003 09:40 PM

(if you use this one and get your ass kicked I have no responsibility)

If someone said to you. "I will bet you $1 that is you give me $2. I will give you $3 in return", would this be a good bet for you to take?

Explain.

Heh, heh, no. If you give him two bucks, he can just say, "I lose," and give you one dollar back. He comes out ahead $1.
