Sounds nutritious and delicious. I like making my omelets with egg whites, artichoke, garlic, spinach, and sliced red potatoes. Oh and a little bit of Italian seasoning with fresh basil.

I use 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites, spinach, garlic, sauteed onions, roasted red peppers, and ham. I usually through some red pepper flakes and parsley on it too, if I have them.
Unfortunately, I suck big time at making omelets, so this usually ends up as a scrambled egg bonanza.

A trick I learned from my grandma is to put a splash of water into the eggs as your whipping them up, makes them very very fluffy.

I add a touch of milk and whip the living fuck out of the eggs, froth is good.
Also take them off the heat before they're fully done, the heat they've got will cook them after you plate them. If you leave em on the heat till their solid you'll end up with rubbery eggs. |

I like grilling some chicken first, and putting the pieces in the omelet along with some salsa , avocado, and cheddar cheese. Now that's protein

also, FYI: i cook mine on low heat with a lid on the pan, seems to contain the heat without a chance of burning, nothing worse than a burnt omelet....

Also a few spoonfuls of sour cream is a nice addition along with some muenster or yellow american cheese. For veggies I like freshly diced tomatoes, chopped green peppers and onion and always mushrooms.

I haven't done it before, but I think bean sprouts would be good inside an omelet, might have to try that.

Damn, I used to go to a place that made the best chicken, spinach, and feta cheese omelets. The one with the artichoke and sliced red potatoes also sounds really good...

sometimes you have to spice it up a bit. I put so little that it has no effect on my diet . I don't diet really hard anyway. I just cut out a lot of the junk and lowered my carb count. in the past 3 months I started going to the gym 3-4 days a week and small diet changes. I dropped from 218lb to 192lb. and I'm looking at about a 5-8lb swing in muscle weight . I'm happy with it. I feel a hell of a lot better.

I fold mine over.
3 large or 4 medium eggs. Salt fresh ground pepper cumin (i use too much for most people) butter onions, chopped fine medium cheddar or ementhal cheese (grated or thin slices) shitake mushrooms. finely chopped a little love Beat the eggs together (YES with the yolks, fuck cholesteral - drink some beer at lunch) Add the salt and ground pepper to the eggs heat a round pan to medium, butter it and just when the thin layer starts to bubble pour in the mixed egg - but keep about a third or a quarter on the side as the mix starts to cook, while it's still liquid on the upside, sprinkle the cumin then flip the sucker along the center of the egg, spread the onion (you can fry it ahead in the butter if you like, just add a little more butter then hold the onion in a so it drips into a cloth or napkin), and mushrooms and *just* cover with the grated cheddar or ementhal strips fold the sucker over then baste the edges with the reserved egg mix so they seal, flip a few times to avoid the omelette getting crusty (unless you like that) and let the inside cook... once all the egg is cooked and firm take it out, and let it sit on a plate whie it steams/cooks inside... then eat it lol

I have to admit, after the gym we sometimes go to this resturant that makes the most Unbelievable omlete.
Bacon, cheese, mushrooms, chicken, spinach, tomatoe and capsicum. I never order an omlete anywhere else or attempt to make at home because I know it won't taste them same. |

Crab Meat's great so long as it's not that "imitation" stuff.
I can't stand anything with that mixture of processed fish in it.... california rolls included.

I 100% agree .. My buddy owns a restaurant and he gives me these big ass cans of Jumbo Lump Crab meat .. the chunks are like an inch in size. I even put them in a fresh salad from time to time instead of grilled chicken. I love Crab Meat
