SI also said there were more servers up and running than just those 4 and that "maybe" some could have been hacked or something.... So... no where in any of the information we have do we know WHO was doing the spamming. For all we know if could have been some "rogue employee" inside SI... Read again friend..

Tempest, I read plenty closely. If you were paying attention, you will see that (1) what bdjuf and SI say happened is different, (2) 350 spam complaints came in within 2 hours, (3) SI suffered some sort of issue that lead to a fine from a third party as a result of this spam, and (4) bdjuf has agreed to pay the fine if the bill or other proof is forthcoming.

I can add up 2+2. Can you?

the only reason bdjuf is willing to take any loss by paying a portion of the fine, is because he just wants to recover as much money as he possibly can, because he doesn't think they'll pay him any other way :2 cents:

sonofsam, at the end of the day, it doesn't change the basic fact that no reputable "award winning" host should be in the business of supporting mailers that violate the laws of the state they are in.

I have a feeling that at least part of (2) (3) and (4) may potential have come due to incomplete disclosure of operations and mailer style.

You're reading between the lines.. I'm looking at what was said and confirmed. I see SI saying that there's "other things" they won't disclose or discuss, but they also confirmed that 100% of what bdjuf said was correct and no where did bdjuf say they used the servers for their intended purpose. Therefore, either they're all lieing or someone else did the spam.

There is a "disconnect" in some of the info and we can all assume whatever we want. Doesn't change a thing. At the end of the day SI lied multiple times and strung out a customer for months. None of us put up with that sort of treatment. We take our business elsewhere.

#3 I never said those servers were hacked. In fact the server order was only *some*
of his servers. Did you guys possibly consider he had other servers running?
#4 Everyone is commenting on an issue they will never know all the details to.

SplitInfinity Networks does NOT support spammers.
We have had our run in with them in the past, and perhaps made some money
from them in the early 90's however have not condoned actual "spam" for quite
some time. Spammers do slip through the cracks, false names and identities and
stuff... they have the "lets run with it till they catch us" approach.

I respect BDJuff and will not tarnish his name. This issue was a personal argument
gone astray and has now been rectified with negotiation between him and I.

In the end, no matter what, I did not rip anyone off, I mereley negotiated a fair
exchange that would satisfy both parties. If BDJuff was not happy with the outcome
im sure he would mention that fact.

But for now, all you false accusers and fake nicks, competitors and otherwise who post unsubstantiated facts and fiction should cease your prodding. I see many people
talking out of the side of their face and that is just disgusting.

Actually yes epiccash is one of the most responsible companies I have ever dealt with. Every affiliate program has their run in's with spammers, its how they deal with it that seperates them from the rest.

my 2cents.... joel from split infinity seems like a nice guy but seems somewhat brainwashed into thinking he is onto a path of success with the webhosting thing.. i think the dude that runs Split Infinity is cutting costs by having a tech/sales guy rolled into one and promising this young guy the world..

oh yeah, where was the fucking contract/invoice/purchase order in this deal? 8k under the table seems fishy to begin with
