I think what you should be looking for is someone who knows this business before you attempt to make purchases of a design or any of the "cell phone salesman" items. Save yourself some time, money, and frustration and find someone experienced to consult you.

If you woul dlike the same services contact us. We will complete your site with in 2 days. We have 23 designers. As for processing. I can get you in the 6% range not 14%. Upsells. We charge $1499 for the basic three page tour with a warning and join page and some banners thrown in. No, it isn't the cheapest but they convert or we wouldn't have the repeat customers that we do. Also, people should keep in mind that other things like customer service - before and AFTER the sale - are important too.

exactly. Its 1500 but youll get a converting design. Which is a lot more important then a get-it-all-in-one price of 1500.

My 2 cents : spend the money on the design and content and go from there. Noones gonna signup if your sitecontent or design sucks. No matter how gorgeous your members is. And Webinc is a good way to start

And this wouldn't be the first time I've slugged out 5k and got nothing. Hell we slugged out 8k once and got one page from somebody with a list of referals and a portfolio an arm long. (You know who you are!!! Asshole!!)

8k for a design is pretty heavy, if youre getting webinc dickman etc do a full site AND a full cashsite thats gonna be even less

I personally would wonder about hiring someone who simply copies someone elses work plan and changes the prices rather than writing their own work plan based on what they think should be done.

The client is looking for someone who has a sense of direction for the project. You only provided a copy of the direction I already formulated.
What happens if she needs to change direction during the project? Are you going to email me and request a list of tasks to make this adjustment?

The client is not just looking for a tour or a logo or a hosted gallery script.
She is looking for a "project manager" that will produce a money making website regardless of any particular task that could be involved.

We don't have time to take on your project now, but I will offer some advice...

You need consulting first and foremost. From someone with direct industry experience, not someone who just designs pretty sites for a living. You state that you just want something that makes money... Great! Anyone can promise you that, and once they have your money what are you going to do? There is not 1 single designer in this industry that can guarantee a site is going to make tons of money, myself included. The website is only part of the puzzle. Longterm objectives need to be established.. and again you need consulting for that.

I suggest you talk to YnotBob about his consulting services before spending any money with a designer. If you hit me up in ICQ I will send you his contact information. I have worked with several clients he consulted with and they were all very happy with his advice.

I posted a "Help wanted" and thats all there is to it. If it's not what you're interested in why bother with the energy to insult me.

As for learning something:

We already do a hell of alot! ON THE PRODUCTION END.
Do you think content makes itself?

We have to track down talent. Organize schedules. Deal with scenarios, setups, problems on set, find viagara for men that don't work and find stunt cocks when viagara doesn't work.

Not to mention knowing how to handle the camera, light the damn place, show girls how to pose, get all the angles needed, balance egos, get this stuff edited, take it to distribution, do paperwork, organize locations, etc etc.

The fucking list goes on and on and on.

And I'm not in the United States with a nice abilty to find readily qualified people that are ready to work. We have to beg girls to work and explain to them they aren't going to recieve 20k for a video and most local cameramen either shoot with real film or Betacam.

So don't chew me out for not being a webmaster/programer/database consultant/etc. I put the money up. Therefore I'm the boss and as part of my job description to locate people that know their job so I don't have to do it for them.

And with luck I'll have content into the hands of person I've decided to go with by the end of the month. (I'm swamped in doing a catalog of what we currently have.)

MetroPornTour - i work as a project manager, and i suggest that this is what you need. find someone experienced, with a good reputation and references. do searches on the boards, and ask around.

then it's the project manager's job to get everyone else working, and a good PM will know designers, writers, marketers, etc. if a designer disappears, the PM finds a new one to finish the job. if you have someone working on banners, the PM will make sure the text is right, and the delivery time is kept. and so on. so no matter what the problems are, you are no longer the person dealing with them...

You need consulting first and foremost. From someone with direct industry experience, not someone who just designs pretty sites for a living. You state that you just want something that makes money... Great! Anyone can promise you that, and once they have your money what are you going to do? There is not 1 single designer in this industry that can guarantee a site is going to make tons of money, myself included. The website is only part of the puzzle. Longterm objectives need to be established.. and again you need consulting for that. I suggest you talk to YnotBob about his consulting services before spending any money with a designer. basschick Confirmed User Join Date: Jan 2001 Location: el lay, ca usa Posts: 2,540	MetroPornTour - i work as a project manager, and i suggest that this is what you need. find someone experienced, with a good reputation and references. do searches on the boards, and ask around. then it's the project manager's job to get everyone else working, and a good PM will know designers, writers, marketers, etc. if a designer disappears, the PM finds a new one to finish the job. if you have someone working on banners, the PM will make sure the text is right, and the delivery time is kept. and so on. so no matter what the problems are, you are no longer the person dealing with them... __________________ Got Gay and For Women Traffic?
