The kid does not want the content.
The kid does not want a license for the content.
The kid does not want his money back.

The kid only wants to harm my reputation because he overextended himself on a content purchase and then got mad when I would not give him a refund because of all the stuff I had done to help him out. Then he libeled me and infringed on my copyright thereby forfeiting any rights he may have had along with his investment. Technically, he still owes me money and I still would not be required to issue him a license. That's the bottom line.

He's a fucking liar and this topic has been beat to death over a month ago.

sonofsam fucked up, put himself in a bad legal situation, and now he has forced my hand to play hard ball.

If you don't see the big picture here it's because you lack basic business skills when it comes to protecting your rights. Those who do business with me are very aware of this situation and the truth behind the bullshit that sonofsam, ContentProducer, and Alien have posted.

You don't like it? Tough shit, it's none of your concern anyway. Don't do business with me...It's that simple.

As of this point, I will no longer be responding to ANY questions or accusations from anybody about this issue....INCLUDING anything in this thread.

There's three sides to every story, or in the case of GFY, 4.

However, I've never known Aaron to be a scam artist or purposely fuck people over for money or business. I don't claim to know what the situtation here is, but I'm sure something could have been worked out without all of GFY sticking their noses in and distorting facts. Aaron, we will continue using your services as we have in the past. Although you are "colorful" to say the least on the boards, your work speaks for itself. I made it very clear to you what we were looking for, content wise and how I wanted it all documented, and you performed perfectly.

Likewise, you made it very clear to both Alex and I how you would like to be paid, in what manner, and in what capacity. Funny how we both lived up to our ends of our contract and everyone walks away happy, and willing to do business again.

I think it's safe to say that anyone's who's ever spent 10 mins or more with AaronM in person knows that he'd never go out of his way to cheat anyone, harm their business or do anything like that.
Right from the get go, this was very clearly not something as simple as Aaron being mean and not giving the money back. There's been a lot of issues, comments, complications and miscommunications.

Aaron is a strong minded business man... very opinionated but also very good hearted. SonofSam I don't know as well, but he seems like a cool guy to me.

I think it all just went wrong for SoS out of sheer lack of experience and wisdom as this is a new field for him. He wasn't aware of what he was getting himself into or how things work in this industry. Hense... he screwed up.

Neither ever had the intention of screwing the other or harming the other's business... it's just a business dealing that went sour... and that happens. A lot!

I feel bad for SonOfSam, I truly do... I wish it hasn't ended up this way, but at the same time... I wish that no one ever burned their hand when they were young, or fell down the stairs while drunk.. but hey, that's how you learn.

I think what this shows all people the importance of having a contract that spells out what both sides will do. If you tell someone you want to send them a contract that spells out our agreement and they have a problem with that run away. Sonofsam even offered to let AaronM keep $500 for his trouble when he wanted to return the content. AaronM put sonofsam on ignore on ICQ and would not talk to him on the phone. And you people wonder why sonofsam took it to gfy. He ICQ'd me trying to figure out a way that he could get this resolved without going public with it. He had no choice to take it to GFY and he is out $3,600. So basically AaronM is feeding his fat face with Sonofsams money and laughing about it. How fucking pathetic.

I really can't understand why somebody would buy 60,000 images, and seriously expect it all to be cute teen next door girl whatever stuff, especially for such a low price (and according to Aaron, there were even samples shown of all the content that would be included in that deal).

The canadian dollar part of this story is strange as well.

Sounds like some newbie mistakes (no offence sos), and I think Aaron is
being professional to leave it as it is, instead of taking legal actions...

If sonofsam broke the tos of the contract with Aaron .... sonofsam doesn't have a leg to stand on. It it the onus of the person that agrees to the contract to understand said contract. It is not the fault of the person who issued the contract for the person signing to understand what he is signing.

From what I have read Sonofsam has broken the tos and has no reason to bitch. Aaron has protected himself with the tos and sonofsam is pissed cause he is out money for breaking the contract with Aaron.... nobodys fault but sonofsam..... take it to court.... Aaron would win hands down

Just for clarification...When you say contract, I assume you are referring to my right to enforce my license agreement. Am I correct?

If so, I know somebody will of course post that the license was never issued in the first place...And they would be right in saying that. In most cases, content providers do not go around issuing licenses for content packages that have not been fully paid for. That does not mean that the purchaser has the rights to violate that license simply because it has yet to be issued. You violate, you lose your rights. PERIOD.

Aaron is a strong minded business man... very opinionated but also very good hearted. SonofSam I don't know as well, but he seems like a cool guy to me. I think it all just went wrong for SoS out of sheer lack of experience and wisdom as this is a new field for him. He wasn't aware of what he was getting himself into or how things work in this industry. Hense... he screwed up. Neither ever had the intention of screwing the other or harming the other's business... it's just a business dealing that went sour... and that happens. A lot! I feel bad for SonOfSam, I truly do... It it the onus of the person that agrees to the contract to understand said contract.
