epassport can suck my ass - RANT!
sent $500 to someone about 3 months ago and the assholes never sent the traffic. I did the p2p dispute and faxed in the paper work after giving the scammer the benefit of the doubt for a month that they were having " problems" . Month goes by and no contact back from epassport so i contact them again and they say they have no record of fax. Person says, sorry fax it back and we will get it taken care of in 2 days. I sent it back and they comfirmed they received it. Another Month goes by and I call them pissed off why nothing was resolved yet. (this was last night). I speak with someone who again apologizes for this taking so long but he informs me the problem is the person I sent the money to will not respond to them. Gee I wonder why. He also said they can only refund me back $131 which is left in that person's account. I asked him why i have no buyers protection even when i have proof fraud was committed, and if they would do nothing about it then I would do a chargeback with visa. He said hey i understand no problem, and that he would transfer the $131. This morning i go to use my epass account and it is suspended. So i call and they say I need to speak with Risk Management, who is not there yet (10am est). So i call back in a few hours later and now Risk Management is in a meeting... I pry info out of the girl and she tells me my account is suspended because i said i was going to do a chargeback. Can you believe that shit. I didnt even do one yet. Also, the fucker who told me last night that it was ok for me to do that so after i got off the phone with him I reloaded my account with another $500 plus the couple hundred i had there already. So i asked the women to have risk management call me back since they seem to be so busy and she said " they dont call people back, keep trying". fuck this, if they dont fix this shit i am charging back every transaction i did for the last 3 months this is total bullshit. I got scammed i jumped through their hopes, faxed shit to them, provided proof the service was never provided, the scammer never replies back to them and they want to suspend my account???? Rant over. People who use Epassport beware. If you send money p2p its like doing a wire as far as they are concerned and if you chargeback the money they suspend you.

				 | I understand your frustration, and quite frankly suspending an account because a of a certain claim that was made is ridiculous. However in the financial business there is such an enormous risk of fraud that companies like epassporte do need to keep a tight grip on things. That said I hope your situation will be solved.

				 | I wish Neteller would become more popular in this industry, i think its great Don't have to worry about your funds being held up because you can dump it right into your bank account instantly Free debit card 24 hour live chat support, 24/7 1-800 phone support low fees too can't get any better than that

				 | thats a scary story I have 3 guys who I paid epass and have not provided what we agreed on. It would be nice if I had a creditcard to be able to do a charge back. 3 guys have ripped me off. At what point do I require performance before payment? What I would love is a escrow service with epass. For a small fee. MAybe $10. the payment is locked until service is completed. Seriously that would revolutionalize the industry.

Talking to Rand now... I don't lie guys, Rand can come back here and comfirm everything i posted is 100% the truth after he digs into it. I don't blow a gascut often but this just really pissed me off. I understand premtive stikes but to have 1 rep tell me it is ok he knows where i am coming from about doing a charge back , then allowing me to reload my account with more money, AND then suspending me and tieing up MY MONEY!!! because i SAID i would do a chargeback if it was not resolved is total BS. How is suspending my account goign to stop me from doing a chargeback. Now I am just going to charge back that plus the money i reloaded last night that i can access... MAKES NO sense! I have people to pay that only take epass and now they are waiting on this shit to be resolved. that is what pisses me off the most. You can tie up $750 of my mine big deal but dont make me sound like an ass and make excuses why i have to pay someone else late. We will see what happens...

				 | I tried to go without epass for a while ... first time I use it to spend money with my CC, they bill and hold (2x) the ammount of money (my spending + my spending) . Took 30 days to get unfrozen ... how stupid . That's pretty much the end of the story for me |

				 | I´m not too fond of epassporte myself, as soon as you start dealing with risk management, it gets nasty. They don´t really help and they don´t call you back as they claim they will.

				 | Epassport drama continues.... I looked through epassport terms and conditions and this is all i could find about p2p transactions: (FAQ) Transfer Money Instantaneously Transferring money between ePassporte members is immediate. All you need is the email address of the other ePassporte account holder that you want to send money to. It is fast, safe and affordable. (Terms and conditions) C. The ePassporteTM Peer-to-Peer Service The ePassporteTM Peer-to-Peer Service can be used to effect secure, online person-to-person payments over the Internet using the funds in Your ePassporteTM Account. These payments can be made by You to any other ePassporteTM Account holder electronically. You can also receive payments from other ePassporteTM Account holders. We reserve the right, in Our sole and absolute discretion, to limit the number of payments You can make or receive daily from or to Your ePassporteTM Account. XIII. Disputes, Returns and Refunds You agree to attempt to first settle all disputes concerning purchases You make using the funds in Your ePassporteTM Account with the merchant(s) from whom You made such purchases. If You notify Us that You dispute a transaction and You have not first attempted to settle such dispute with the merchant, We reserve the right to require You to first attempt to settle all disputes with the merchant before We will take any action with respect to that transaction. If You are entitled to a refund for any reason for goods or services obtained with funds in Your ePassporteTM Account, You agree to accept credits to Your ePassporteTM Account as the only method of refund. ------------------------------------------------------------------ ANYONE SEE THIS PART! *** If You are entitled to a refund for any reason for goods or services obtained with funds in Your ePassporteTM Account, You agree to accept credits to Your ePassporteTM Account as the only method of refund.*** Epassport admits the person who scammed me will not even reply back to them. I have jumped through their hoops and faxed in the documentation they asked for over the last 2 months. I have tried to contact this person who did not provide the sevice several times, i have everything documented. BUT Epassport tells me, there is no money there to give me. If the person who scammed me doesn't have money in their account then there is no money to refund to me. So If i am not entitled a refund after all of that who is? Their whole statement above is obviously bogus, it sounds like they will never issue a refund unless the person who scammed you has money in their account. And how often is the scammer going to leave money in their account for them to take it back Might as well say " We will refund your money if the scammer decides to give it back to you"... I looked through all the text on the site, terms and conditions . I can't find anything that says your account will be suspended if you mention the words " chargeback". Intersting but they claim is their policy. --more--

				 | BTW, I taked to Fay tonight and she did unsuspend my account. The employees have tried to help and I have no problems with them. It's the companies policies that I disagree with... and which are also hard to find in the first place. I will not be getting a refund. I was told my transaction was the same as cash. Well hell next time I will save the transaction fees and send cash. wtf ? There is nothing they will do other then trying to release the few bucks that are left frozen in the scammers account. Everyone take notice if you use epassport, you are not protected. They will only refund you if the person who scammed you has money left in their account. They are not coming out of pocket, even though colect their fair share in transaction fees. They prefer to leave me no choice but to do a chargeback. They have probably collected more in fees off of me then the amount i am looking to have refunded. Not too mention my future fees this year will more then double the amount i am looking to be refunded . But if they choose to lose a client over this that is there choice to cancel my account. If they would have only informed people they have no protection using their service then I would have never used it in the first place, i guess most of us wouldnt use it, at least not to send money to people we dont know. How many people here knew that if you send money to someone p2p for a service and the person withdraws the money and then say " kiss my ass" epassport will tell you too bad. And how many of you knew if you uttered the words " chareback" they would suspend your account. And if you do a chargeback you are cancelled. Thanks again to all of those who tried to help. The money's not a big deal. Hope this helps inform everyone and saves some of you from losing your own money.

				 | No doubt, but charging back and not being able to lose Epassporte seems drastic for someone making millions. I'd imagine he does a lot of business through them and as bad as they may be, there are few options. |

				 | I dont think he needs to relax,. I would be pissed as well I dont know, I got a Epass account, but it is really a "toy" of a system. I mean, they dont allow large ammounts of $$ in your account, they suspend accounts, they didnt let me charge my account with a visa for some bullshit reason. It is a great idea, and I was excited when I heard about them, but sadly they just arent there yet where they should be. They are ok I suppose, but they need to do big things to be a solid financial instrument. I guess, they are good for a little webmsater who earns a few bucks and can get it out via the card at atms, thats about it (

Read them again... show me where it states this in the terms... If it was stated I would not have sent money to someone I did not know. period.

Obviously, you dont make a lot of money or you would understand. Why not just throw money out of the window i make a lot of it, unbelievable. But, to me it really is more the principle I'm not going to sweat $500. I could give a shit about the money as i stated here. I dont like being scammed and put in the position to be scammed. I thought i was protected using their service, I read nothing there to make me think otherwise. After jumping through their hoops for months and having my account suspended I was pissed. It's the principle why I am posting and also to inform others... Epass claims it is common sense that p2p transactions are risky,(and they dont post this, i guess they assume we should know the risk is there??) But instead they want to use words like "secure" when making reference to the p2p process. What are we left to belive?

paypal who does protect you doesnt want adult wires/cash/checks offer no protection. Only way left to pay is if the person takes visa. And not visa through epass but has their own merchant account. How many people out there who provide services actually have their own merchant account to accept transactions... Looks like it is going to be service first payment later if you want protection. The escrow idea here was a great one, someone should develop that and make it real easy to transfer money too it. Another million dollar idea is a univeral rating system... would take a lot to develop it but something similar to ebay's feedback system. If i knew the person had had no problems in the past doing business with others and had references listed I would send them cash without thinking twice.

				 | Today I discovered there have been several unkown transactions made with my virtual card. I emailed [email protected] explaining the situation and guess what? I got the standard answer I've got every single time I've ever tried to contact that "cs": "Dear Cardholder, For further assistance, please call our Cardholder Services Center at any of the phone numbers listed below. I hope this is helpful and please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Regards," Uhmmmmmmm...... NO it wasn't helpfull at all! Why offer email support if all they do is say "call us and we'll have a look". Not everyone is in the US you know? email forwarded to rand and kimmy hope to get some answers real soon. |
