Last 3 times I tried to call them I always got an indian on the line. I do know my spoken english isn't the greatest but they didn't speak nor understood what I was saying. And I'm 100% certain that wasn't all my fault

Not sure what that's about, but the contact info for ePassporte is as follows:

To contact ePassporte
[email protected]
From US Toll-Free: 1 (877) EPASS90 [1 (877) 372-7790]
International and US: 1 (310) 301-2001
International and US Fax: 1 (310) 943-2410

To clear up any confusion, ePassporte's customer service is in California. They may employ several different ethnicities but the odds of calling 3 times and getting an Indian CSR each time are astronomical.

FletchXXX - Do you remember the username you chose? If so, drop me a line and tell me. Rand @ epassporte.com

PM Dave - I don't see an email from you. Please contact me and put "GFY / ePassporte" in the subject line. Inlcude your ePassporte account name.

They are ok I suppose, but they need to do big things to be a solid financial instrument.
Imafuckingaussie - I beleive you probably have the wrong type of account. Sounds to me like you should have a business account and not a personal one. It really depends on what you're doing, but several account holders run tens of thousands of dollars through their accounts each week. Hit me up if you have quesitons.

first time I use it to spend money with my CC, they bill and hold (2x) the ammount of money
Doctor Dre - What you are speaking about is actually caused by the merchant you are dealing with not closing transactions properly and has nothing to do with ePassporte's policies. I can tell you more if you're really interested.

= = = = =

As for the issue with "Will76". I have conversed with him and we had a very productive discussion. ePassporte is working with him directly to help him find a resolve to his dispute.

To clarify a couple of matters that came up on this thread....

ePassporte when used as a Visa, meaning you use your account number, affords certain protections associated with Visa. However a P2P is very similar to a wire transfer and once you send someone money it is gone. The benefit to the recipient is that they know the received money is theirs. ePassporte can not be in the place of making judgment calls on who is right and who is wrong in a dispute between two parties we have no knowledge of. A P2P transaction should be thought of as a cash sale. Once you send the money it is not retrievable. Know who you are doing business with.

Also, ePassporte does not suspend accounts that threaten to charge back an ePassporte transaction. I can assure you of that. If you have any questions about this you may contact me directly.

I realize ePassporte Customer Support needs to improve. I shouldn't have to be resolving things like this from GFY or any other board. In coming weeks ePassporte will launch live chat support and I expect support issues to improve dramatically between now and then and especially when questions can be discussed instantly with a rep.

In the meantime, feel free to contact me if I can help facilitate anything.

Hey I am gathering the proof now that you guys need from me to show this person did not provide the service i paid for... then i guess we will see what happens if i get refunded the entire amount or not.

I was cool with everything you said here till this part:

I was suspended for saying I was going to do a chargeback, and it was confimed by different people at epass that that was the reason why i was suspened. And it also was made known to me that I would be cancelled if actually do the chargeback by everyone i spoke with.

Unless you don't consider a p2p transaction an " epassport transaction" , other then that you are either calling me a liar or miss informed on this one point.

I love epassporte - they provide a fantastic service and the faces we see everyday (online and at shows) are awesome people - I cannot give enough praise for who they are and what they do.

There is however, like will76 seems to be experiencing, a gap in service when it comes to dealing with customer service at epassporte. I have had major problems myself - both personal and business accounts and its very frustrating when you go from dealing with such awesome people (rand, kimmykim etc) to the everyday support staff that are not quite as switched on as the rest of us. It's this lack of awareness from CSA, and only that, that lets epassporte down from my experience.

It's for those reasons only that I prefer not to deal with CSA and go directly to the top of epassporte

During our conversation I knew you that were misunderstanding this point. If ePassporte told you your account would be cancelled if you did a chargeback, that is correct but you and ePassporte were talking about two different things, I believe.

If you chargeback a load transaction it is correct that your account will be cancelled. You can, however, charge back a transaction a transaction that you make with your ePassporte Visa. You can not charge back (reverse) a P2P transaction. Again, P2P transactions are like wire transfers or same-as-cash.

Like everything else on epass you guys need to be more clear. When you say

" Also, ePassporte does not suspend accounts that threaten to charge back an ePassporte transaction. I can assure you of that."

Are we not left to think that an "epassport transaction" is any transaction that takes place using epassport??? It's like you guys want to come across one way and actually do soemthign else. Damn, if you going to cancell people for doing a p2p transaction then just say that. If you are not going to cancel someone who is using an epassport visa card and charges back a purchase then say that. Why do you guys have to make this shit so difficult.

It should be posted all over your site that buyer beware for p2p. but you have nothing posted. NOTHING!. I just don't understand why this information is not disclosed and why you people continue to say things like you did above instead of making it clear for people. And you wonder why there are several people like me who are pissed... information is great when people actually provide it.

Why don't you take your frustration out on the guy that pulled one over on you. This all started because you got screwed over by someone you sent money to. That has nothing to do with ePassporte.

Nowhere on ePassporte's site does it say that you have any kind of reversal privileges or guarantees regarding a P2P transaction. Nowhere. A P2P is a "secure" transaction because the money is sent securely from one account to another. You made an assumption because you associate an ePassporte P2P to be the equivalent as a Visa purchase with a merchant. They are not the same thing. You do not use Visa to do a P2P.

Your assumption. Your mistake.

You can't reverse a wire transaction either so why would you think you could reverse a P2P?

What if the situation were reversed? Based on your scenario, if eP could just remove funds by request from a payees account and you were the payee you'd be pretty pissed off. ePassporte can not be the judge and jury over these kinds of disputes. Although you may have gotten off to a bad start getting your situation resolved, eP is going beyond their obligations to help you with this. And still you rant.

I'm sorry if you don't understand this or agree with it, but that's the way it is.

MOney was refunded.

I was told that the individual has a new epassport account and agreed to refund the money from the new account to me. (which as been transfered).

If anyone was scammed by XP-Media using epass you should contact epass and do a dispute, apparently this person has been found and will issue refunds now.
