Nice Mutt...

See people assume just because a site is down its the webhostings fault...

Shit happens...DoS attacks happen...Password Traders Happen...Scripts go haywire...

It takes time to fix these issues but its not the fault of the webhosting company...

I've been very happy with webair and I will continue to rely on webair for my hosting needs...So will quite a few people on gfy...

Yep, thats all we have to do is talk made up shit and hate on companies. Webair brought these truthful remarks on themselfs. No one here is making up shit just to "hate" for no good reason.

Business and truth does not equal "hating".

Some of us are here for business. Not drama.

Glad you have had luck with the whole 90 days with them.

All the big boys have servers at webair. Maybe not the servers they host their paysites on.

I'm surprised so few people realize why webair gets used.

We've hosted with webair since 2002 with almost zero issues and no problems with support. All the people bitching probably have $20 virtual accounts anyhow.

We've been with them forever and don't do spam, never have and wouldn't even know where to start. We have stayed with webair because of their excellent service. We use other hosting too, but have been with webair the longest.

Good for you. As always, you seem to miss the point repeatedly. Maybe they do better with dedicated than virtual. Maybe they spend all their time on the "big boys" and no time on rest of their clients.

Regardless, you miss the point. We are not talking about Webair as a dedicated. We are talking about Webair as a whole. If they blow for 100 small fries, and rule for the 10 "big boys" they still blow, and when advertised should be a "dedicated services rule, virtual, go spend you money elsewhere".

This is not a drama back alley handshake sites man. This is a business board for the industry. Great you had luck with them whatever you site and package. Many haven't, and they are no more right, nor wrong for voiceing the fact that some of the service is shit.

As for this, noone's hating. Read above. If they blow your balls on dedicated big boys, fine. Then get out of virtual. Or vice versa. Maybe some people on this board who speak of them so highly are from NY and are a taxi cab ride away from kicking in a door vs. some of the rest of us. Too many factors to mention, but just face facts. While you get good service and a fondle under the table, other's don't.

So deal with it.

This post is completely ridiculous not to mention one sided...we cater to every client the same. It's not my fault if people don't know that we offer 24/7 live support chat and/or toll free phone support as stated every new account setup e-mail and everywhere else on webair.com. If you have an issue pick up the phone and call in THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE THERE TO HELP YOU!
Support tickets are usually handled within a 30 min time frame or sooner depending upon volume. I'd recommend if you have an immediate issue PICK UP THE PHONE.

Most of the time (99%) AS IN THIS CASE is not our issue/fault. It's something that the webmaster has installed or failed to install (password protection). If they call us and they need help WE WILL HELP THEM REGARDLESS ($ 9.95 virtual or 20K mo dedicated client) we treat them exactly the same...

Barefootsies, I can almost guarantee you that if you truly did host with us in the past I could find a logical reason for your issues and dispute your claims by looking up in our logs any issues you had and explaining why they occured. Feel free to contact me and give me your details and I will gladly give any and all info we have on account.

Additionally, I will also extend a free year of hosting to you if it were due to something that happened on our end to compensate you for any inconveniences. One other thing i'd like to mention....If you are a current client and do have an issue using our 24/7 live chat feature or toll free phone support, PLEASE feel free to call me personally on my cell anytime 516.650.1501 I never sleep and am always PERSONALLY available to assist our clients any time day or night, and I will make sure you issue is resolved...

I have been with Webair for 5 years. I started with one domain name. Two dedicated servers later I cant say anything bad about them except that Mike actually seems to care what people have to say about him. I have Mike, Sagi, Matt and the whole gang on my AIM buddy list. I cant remember the last time I had to email support. I left a message on Mike and Sagi's AIM yesterday, Easter Sunday about a PHPBB problem and them went back to my company and when I got back online later the problem was fixxed. It wasnt even their problem it was mine for using a POS board. I remember using Flashost years ago, that was a nightmare. Webair is a dream.

Wrong Mike. If you want to discuss this, you have the ICQ. I am not going back and forth on a messageboard. I have my logs to YOU directly never answered. Also trouble tickets, and response time when I heard back, and I can guarentee your that none are time stamped within 30 minutes. Maybe 24 hours, as they state repeatedly in their e-mails.

This can go round and round.

You're wrong, you have the ICQ. I have your company's e-mails, response times, and ticket numbers. We can post them all and show this is not the case if you would like.

I do not want free service of any kind. I want you to fix the fuck ups.

I am sure that the down time the other days affecting multiple webmasters on this board was all our error as well. Arguement holds no water.

Fix these problems.

Mike, this is your fault.

These arnt new problems and the list is not short on people that have not been happy with webair's service. Instead of being so defensive, just say you are willing to do whatever it takes the fix the problem and do it. People will respect that. Bashing someones opinion about your service is not a way to attract new customers considering the issues you guys have had.

It's all good man, just see that some people are having issues.

Lies. You do not offer 24/7 live support via chat.

And when there IS someone in there, you have to wait 1 hour in line before someone answers you, and when they do, they barely speak english or know basic server management.

I think I said if its our fault we would be more than happy to assist as always...look we host thousands of sites granted not everyone is going to be 100% happy for whatever reason, ususlly seems to be the $9.95 virtual that bitches the most in my experience. My issue lies with the fact that all anyone has to do is pick up thee phone and call and we are always there to help. Check my aim and icq away message it contains my personal cell there as well. We really could'nt be more accessable.

We really could'nt be more accessable.

As one of the $119 dedicated "bitches" can you explain to me why it took 2 months of phone calls, support tickets, ICQ messages, and finally a response to your "how's our service" email to get GD installed?

Can you tell me why I got a snotty response from your billing department when I finally asked to be cancelled? Why I got charged for another month?

don't bother... he doesn't care about his customers. He has a loyal group of webmasters who happen to have no life so they can defend him on board all day. Fact is if anyone would do a bit of research on webair they would know they shouldn't host there. I have never seen so many negative posts about a hosting company (not talking just this thread but all threads about them lol)

Comment: SplitInfinity Networks can INSTALL and SUPPORT strongbox per our press release a few weeks back. Ray has trained our staff, so support for big sites or small is not an issue here. We are armed with the program and skills to support it. So anyone wanting to get onboard with Strongbox can do so for approx 10 bucks a month.

Peace.

You can't argue over webair here. Because all supporters come in and start flaming. You can only talk bad about other hosts and they will spam webair.

I like Webair... Mike is cool. Im not posting here about him. I am posting about strongbox.... we can support it no matter where you host... thats the only reason I posted. My business tactics are misread by you. :-) Mike and I get along great.
Perhaps its my knoweledge of that that makes me overlook things that other people may "assume". :-)

2. I have looked at the code for strongbox and I can guarantee it's the best out there right now.
You have to be joking! Password sentry runs like a dream, been using it for four years now on multiple sites and never one problem.
I tried strongbox once and deleted it from my server in less then one day.

Hehe SpamAir is crappy. Don't use them if your script needs to send confirmation emails to users. None of them will arrive - all their ips are blacklisted everywhere.
