Ive been with webair for 3 month now and have had perfect hosting and support is the best I have seen out there. SO talk your trash because its not true

Webair by far has the worst over all track record for years. With the long list of great hosting companies out there its suprizing that people still land at webair at all. I've got to the point that I ask sponsors if they host there before I send them traffic. Ive lost more clicks to webair then anyone else by far over the years.

dealing with the situation now with Webair. it's not a network issue, it's a server issue. things hopefully will be be back to normal shortly.

that's the one i was going to install but for now password sentry is fine - maybe it's as good as strongbox, i just haven't read anything on it - everybody seems to be jocking Strongbox as the best.

What were you using there before password sentry?

This about sums it up.

They have some good points, but in the past 30 days one of my site's has been offline completely for who knows how long before I had to opened a trouble ticket because you can't reach anybody. I've had times where you can't get anyone on the phone, live chat, or smoke signal. The 12-2am whole website crashes every night because they do a back up, upgrade, or something was a real treat, especially when you have bought a bunch of traffic, and people can't access jack shit for 2-3 hours, and you can't log into the site.

Strongbox is pretty cool, Ray is a top bloke also.

Sentry is also pretty good, but for movie content etc, strongbox is the dogs testicles.

There are reasons I am suggesting strongbox over password sentry.

1. Password sentry is a cgi program ... this adds a lot of overhead to you machine. It already went down once due to overload if you install password sentry your asking for it to go down again.

2. I have looked at the code for strongbox and I can guarantee it's the best out there right now.

god, you sound like me....this is exactly what happened to me when I tried them..it was ALWAYS down, and I could never get anyone for support, i tried email, phone, web etc....and all they would give me for compensation is another month free...with all my troubles I had the chance not to pay for hosting for somewhere near 4 months, but with only hosting with them for 3 weeks I could not let that happen cause I was down A LOT...13 hours at one time

What about support for Strongbox if you are going to install it on a very large site?

juicy, but you also have to take into consideration that you are a board celeb...if they fuck up with you, others will pull their sites too just cause of one post on gfy...they would lose a LOT of business if you didn't promote them...so you can be sure your sites will NEVER go down, and if they do I am sure webair has the means to keep your mouth shut, be it free service or something nice...

Yep. While some people here have had good luck with them, and know Mike personally and he is always on da case for them, that's great. I am not sure if the difference realistically is dedicated versus virtual, but regardless.. I know I've had more than half a dozen issues from slow server times, crashes, and outright off line in past 30 days. I know I have tried contacting Mike since he was such a celebrity on this board, and got more a less a brush off on more than one occasion. Promises not fulfilled, and requiring additional follow up, or just outright ignored.

Well I'm very happy with Webair we have been with them for 4 years now. Mike is one of the best guy's I know.

I have been with cyberwurx for several years, and have never had a help desk ticket wait for more than 30 minutes. and there is a 3 hour difference between them and us.

Hey, I can't speak for everyone, but I am not going to go out of my way to insult or attack a company regardless of my beliefs. But when a company I directly do business with does me wrong, or provides less that superior service promised, and people want an honest opinion.

My sites are split between two hosts, and I can say both have their flaws, good and bad points, probably much like others here. However, Webair continues to show up on my radar with their service issues, site down, slow response times, no answer/voicemail/live chat when something happens, and people start e-mailing me. I do not visit my own sites 100 times a day, but when a visitor takes time to complain, something is wrong.

True enough. I can't help but feel in the threads here that you have some serious power player who get all of Mike's attention, and he caters to. Then you have the regular Joe's who just do business. Those ICQ's and e-mails get ignored, and some how it is ok to say one thing, and then blow them off later in their eyes.

I can tell you if some of the big hitters here were ever receiving the service I have in the past 30 days, Webair would not get another nickel from this board. So save the preaching. They do good for your company, great. Awesome to hear. But they are not doing right by everyone.

this wasn't a Webair problem - tech support was good and the site is back running fast.

Funny since the first domain name you guys ever even registered was done in 2003.
Before 2003 no one even had any idea who you guys were, and you yourself even said you BOUGHT your FIRST computer in 2002. It isnt to hard for people here to see you in your lies and do a board search and find it.
A check on whois with your server shows ALL of your worthless domains all registered in March of 2003.
