I use to teach severly disable children, and 4 out of 10 of them where on feeeding tubes. Could we pull the plug on them too? could we starve them to death ?

And what makes your spouse your gaurdian ? i'm married and i don't remember seeing that on the marriage license? Or signing anything that made my wife my guardian? Plus she is not braindead look at what the neorological exper (hired by the state of florida) has said about her. When you divorce the contract is ended and new ones are drafted.
Someone you marry should not be related to you anyways.
Parents do not come into play with this unless you have a written contract stating such.
Getting married makes your spouse your guardian unless you have a written contract stating otherwise.
Your marriage license also did not say what that whatever you tell your wife in private can not be held against you in a court of law, or that you will gain certain tax advantages, inheritance rights and so on.

like i said before in another thread. tony and i have discussed what we would do in similar situations and we drafted up living wills and medical powers of attorney, but i've NEVER told my parents about how I feel about that stuff. There are tons of other things I choose not to share with my parents.
