I don't think peole know all the facts on this case and have been mislead by the press. Everyone was thinking she was in a coma and on life support. When she was awake and on a feeding tube. I use to teach severly disable children, and 4 out of 10 of them where on feeeding tubes. Could we pull the plug on them too? could we starve them to death ?

As for what the RN said, I do not know this persons motives, they could be lieing, they could have reasons to say what they did, or hell they could even be telling the truth. Fact is, it just does not fucking matter what he said. He has the right to decide. End of story.

The problem I see is its documented that many of her care givers felt she could eat if taught. It turns out the husband did not want this. As a matter of fact there is a lot of proof he declined rehabilitation through most of the process.

Including not allowing cameras in since 2002 this man has some other motive. He wants and needs her dead.

who says we are paying for terry's care? where is the 80k in taxpayers money coming from? Plus she is not braindead look at what the neorological exper (hired by the state of florida) has said about her. She is in a state of minimal consciousness and any consciousness means you might know whats going on. Which makes it cruel and unusual to starve that person. When you divorce the contract is ended and new ones are drafted.
Someone you marry should not be related to you anyways.

Parents do not come into play with this unless you have a written contract stating such.
Getting married makes your spouse your guardian unless you have a written contract stating otherwise.
Your marriage license also did not say what that whatever you tell your wife in private can not be held against you in a court of law, or that you will gain certain tax advantages, inheritance rights and so on.

In no way has the press mislead me.

Could that have anything to do with her husband denying her any kind of rehabilitation? And if you really followed the story like I am you would know that she is not "gone mentally" . but after you turn 18, unless its legally documented somewhere, your parents are no longer your guardians and no longer responsible for you or your actions.
like i said before in another thread. tony and i have discussed what we would do in similar situations and we drafted up living wills and medical powers of attorney, but i've NEVER told my parents about how I feel about that stuff. There are tons of other things I choose not to share with my parents. So don't necessarliy think that just because they are her parents, that she shared anything and everything going on in her life with them.

the doctor who said that never personally examined her. He/She reviewed her medical records and watched videotapes and observed her.
