My ex-wife wants to come back

My ex-wife actually owned up to the fucked up shit that she did to me. Before she wouldn't even admit to the shit. She apologized for everything and she said that she will try to work on her attitude. We haven't been arguing for at least six months and the kids are doing good.

The fact that I always sent money even though I'm not ordered child support plus the regular visits to see my children showed her that I'm not full of shit and I'll handle biz with my kids and that I love them to death.

She's tired of getting up at 6 am every day and going to a job that she hates for mid-level pay and she's ready to come back to living with me where she doesn't have to work, will get a 500 a month allowance, and won't have to pay any of the bills in the house. Plus she'll get help from me to raise the children. She's been struggling by herself.

I have the kids with me here for the holidays and soon I won't have to drive to Wisconsin once or twice a month plus send money for the kids. It will be cheaper to have them back here and my mother gets to see her grandchildren on the regular.

She is willing to accept what I do in porn as long as the money (and her allowance) keeps coming in and she has learned to stop telling people that I'm a pornographer and now she says that I'm a Software Engineer.

So this summer, my family should be reunited again. I'll be free to continue with what I love which is porn and I get to raise my children again full time....I'll be sending my oldest daughter to private school but it will be worth it.

not at all. the "conditions I must keep" is MUCH cheaper than it is currently costing me to send her money and spend on gas, tolls, hotels, etc. to go visit my kids every month.

I do see your point, though. Having the kids under the same roof is a good thing. You can always kick the ex to the curb and then file for custody when they are living under your roof again.

A truly good education is priceless. Unfortunately, government schools do not give a good education. Their service is no where in the realm that a piravte school will give. Government schools treat their kids like they're a number and nothing else. They'll short change you, ignore you, treat you like shit and push your problems off on someone else instead of addressing them. BTW, yes, I have a serious grudge against government schools. I came from a home where my parents fought all the time, it changed me, and if I were asked if I wanted my parents to be separated at that time, I think I would have said yes.. maybe

I'm going through something similar right now, my ex husband fought for the kids, and I ended up letting him take them for a few years because they wanted to stay where they were, where their friends were, school etc. It was a tough decision, but I didn't let on to them that it broke my heart.. I was more concerned about what was good for them.

Then 2 years after that, he had a nervous breakdown.. sold the house and dropped the kids off on my doorstep, and didn't see them for 4 years.

Just before Christmas this year, he came to see them (after 4 years with no contact) I was so happy I welcomed him with open arms, because my kids needed him to be in their lives.. he drives a truck and comes here to visit them when he can. We aren't back together, but are very cordial with each other. For now, it's a good situation.. and I think as long as I don't get intimate with him things can be good. He's not pushing for that, and neither am I. We're enjoying our kids together, and that's it.

Maybe this kind of situation could work for you?

If you invited her back the restraining order doesn´t count jack shit anymore. By inviting her back, the restraining order is void/nullified (spelling?)
You can´t have it both ways. A restraining order is not something you can just whip out when it´s convient for you.

Anyway, hope it works out for you, but you should get rid of her and build a new life, as someone else saids ex´s are ex´s for a reason and it will never get good again. Be there for your kids, but not on the expence of being with her. It will not work in the long run and that´s not good for you kids.

Here's my 2 cents on everything. You're in a unique situation, just like one of my best friends. I'll give you the same advice I gave him. He's got a 7yr on and off relationhsip and he's got a kid. She and I believe your ex; are looking at you as a convience. If the $$ wasn't there, Would she look at you the same? Very few people know I came from a divorced home and it hurts... that's prob why I'm fucked up to this day. Anyway, my parents stayed together till I was 18 and it was pure hell! Trust me when I say that! It's not worth it, if you're doing it for your kids. Both of you will stray and your household will be fucked up.

Just my advice man... good knowing you for 4yrs or so.

Money is an issue, as its costing you loads to go see the kids, rather than have them with you. However if you invite her back it wont be just the kids staying in the house with you, but also your wife..

I don't want to judge anything, but i think if you let her back you have in a way shown her that she can do whatever she wants to you and still have you..

I don't know if you can see it or not, but like someone else said as well, i would be coming to you too if i was struggling for money and stuff. I want to make sure you understand that she is coming back PRIMARILY because she struggles with her life (i.e. crap paying job) rather than because she actually loves you, and i know this hurts but maybe you can't see it.

Women can be very decieving and you really need to be careful because it might mess up your life more..

if you are 100% convinced she trully wants to be with you for what you ARE, and rather for what you can OFFER her, then go for it..

But if i was you i think if i really wanted to have my kids with me i;d tell her she needs to find a job for her own expenses. All the bills can be paid by you, but that 500$ alloance has got to go... Don't give her back EVERYTHING she had before man....

You should press for a legal custody agreement NOW while you have leverage. So she can't pull that shit again. Get a good lawyer, make sure she also has a good lawyer, and agree to joint custody, or sole custody. If joint custody, you can also agree to not live more than X miles apart. That'll save on the travel and it is done all the time.

Kinda true, but not true. She's have a good case to nullify it, but until a Judge actually says it's recinded it is in full force. If the cops come around and see her there, and they know about the order, she will go to jail and there is nothing you can say to stop it.

True, but it's also true that our relationships have patterns. The patterns repeat regardless of who we are in relationship with. So, it's just as valid to fix the relationship you're in as it is to just go get a new relationship. Because the new relationship will just have the same shit in it until you fix YOUR shit.

Still, it's often easier to just go make a new one. You can still work on your shit, you just don't need to forgive anyone else, just yourself.

Of course, kids go tend to skew things in favor of fixing the old relationship, too.
