How fucked up was the "fucked up shit" she admitted to?
If you force a family setting that is not comfortable for children you are not doing them a favor. Depending on her "indiscretions" you might be better off seeking legal remedies for more time with the children.
Wonderful to think of the children but do you love her? Enough to forsake all others?
