I would have to say that there can never be a magic age when somebody becomes an adult. I've known 13 year olds that were more mature than 30 year olds and 40 year olds that act like 10 year olds. So 18 is probably as good an age as any other.

That's one thing I like about you Fletch, we dont always have to agree but we can discuss like adults.

Someone told me once when I started in this business that they'd never seen a stripper that hadn't either been abused or was goign to be abused.

When I was 17 I was living in NOLA, going to Tulane and moving forward with my life. I was able to handle living unsupervised well enough that I didn't fuck my life up over it. But I also know people that quit high school at 16 and are very successful today without an education, they were simply more mature at that age and could handle their lives.

The legal age should be 21 across the board to be considered an adult. This should include fighting for your country, drinking alcohol, smoking, having sex for money, and gambling. When it's 18 for one right and 21 for another, it makes us feel more grown up than we actually are at 18.

I started having sex as a young teenager. I was way too young, I know that now. But at the time, I felt ready and nobody could have convinced me otherwise. During my "slut" phase, I was still jailbait so I probably got taken advantage of a lot less than had I been over 18.

Looking back at all the bad decisions I made, I'm thankful that I was never raped or molested, didn't catch a lifetime disease, and am still alive now. I was lucky.

The Laura Roxxx case makes me sad. I can't see myself making the same decisions, but you never know... Sure, she should have known the risks, but based upon her age I don't think that's a realistic expectation. She made the choice, she got burned. As far as age of people having sex you gotta understand that until recently in the human history equation people have been living past 25 on the long run. 100 years ago if a woman hadn't married by 18 she was considered old age!
