Do you know if she is getting legal advice before doing her interview? In case there is some type of legal recourse, she should watch what she is saying or may ruin her chance to get anything.
As for those of you shitting on her for asking for money for an interview - try living the last years of your life knowing that you will die in a shorter amount of time than your peers, you can't work in the last profession you chose, you are broke, not all medical costs may be covered and an industry will have forgotten you. Money won't buy her health back but it can certainly make it alot warmer in Montreal winters to pay for heating and can help pay for medical attention not covered by the government.
If you haven't walked 100 miles in this girls shoes, please, refrain from judging her.
