Why it couldn't have been handled in private I don't know. Brad must not be large enough to justify that courtesy or am I missing something ?

Let me summarize what I've gathered from this board, that Amp has NOT disputed:

Seeing as you didn't respond to it, i'll post it again. The car analogy seems to have been used a fair bit in this thread. So, using that analogy:

Amp sells his car to Duane, and Duane sells it to Brad. Duane never pays Amp for the car, and Brad realises, oh shit.. this car is stolen. Brad offers to pay Amp for the car, having already lost a bunch of money to Duane. Amp declines, and says he'll get the money that Duane owes him. That means Amp ends up with the cash he is entitled to. Brad gets the designs he paid for. Duane ends up with nothing.

Amp's inability to collect from Duane makes Brad the crook?

If Amp couldn't have collected from Duane, he should have invoiced Brad, <B><i>privately</i></B>. Then it would be up to Brad to collect from Duane to get his 6 grand back. Problem solved.

No, he specifically discussed the matter with Amp before launching the program where he was supposedly (not yet disputed) led to believe that everything was ok since he wasnt the one who actually ripped Amp off. He has made attempts to compensate designers, and no one who has come to him regarding this matter, requesting payment, has been denied as far as I can tell.

So call him...he's asked a few times to be called reguarding this.

A call to designers was made, has anyone who came forward not been settled with? Except for Amp, but here it appears clear that he said it was ok, until brining the issue up again today before attempting to resolve it privately. Again, invest $6K into something, get scammed, and see if you are willing not only to lose the program you were hoping to start, start from scratch, and be out $6K. Certainly you would attempt to correct matters so you would get the program launched.

SinEmpire, you got a bad deal and should have thrown it away and built a new design. However, you tried to save your investment and did what you felt was the best effort to resolve issues. So I guess you're not a totally bad guy, you had bad judgement and it back fired. And the good news is, if you pay for it, all is forgiven. If you take it down and don't pay for it, all will be forgiven. So it's not that big of a deal as long as you go either route.

Amp, sounds to me like maybe a quick e-mail to him the second it hit your nerve might have saved lot's of headaches. And you deserve to be paid if it's being used. But I can see the other side to this, so it's not a thing that should have really bad feelings afterwards. You're not as much to blame in this, you got screwed twice. So I can see that you didn't have to make any more efforts and waste more time in this matter. It's simple, if someone wants to use something you created, you need to be compensated.

Lens, you're the man! You could care less if they buy ads, if you feel strongly about something, you come straight out with it. You've got your boys back. And you weren't rude, you just asked the question. I guess when Sin was being defensive, it made him look worse. Had he replied back with, "give me your wire info, not a problem, I tried to work this out in the past, glad we can do it today", this wouldn't have gotten out of hand. So props for not being afraid to speak your mind and get your boys back.
