here's the scenario I'm imagining on how that might work...

a lil story that'd go something like this...


You buy a design or two, whatever, for 6k...

few months later you find out you got jacked by some jackers...

so you go to try and rectify the jacking with the people that originally got jacked....

you consider all jack-worthy offenses unjacked....

and move forward with the expensive piece of work you've just acquired that took cash, time and some extra bonus smoothing you didn't plan on...




kinda like when you get bacon strips in your undies...you wash them, sometimes a second time with bleach...but ya still wear them sooner or later eh?

From whats been said so far I dont think Brad's name or his program has been tarnished. A bit of mud slinging but so far Brad hasnt said anything that would detract from him, and there hasnt been proof that Brad has been avoiding the issue or some how attempting to scheme the situation into not paying.

Simple fact is that Brad never offered to pay Amp. I pay him highly, and it's improper to use his work without paying him regardless of how he came into possession of it.

I just don't get it... why? why? What have I done to deserve a public lynching for something I've never been given the opportunity to correct? Why haven't either of you called me? Why aren't you responding to my comments about how I thought we were friends?

Ok ... sure it's not a design job, but recently a certian Dialer was sold to a certian huge Sponsor Program, and while we are only still owed a few $thousand rumor has it that if you are owed $ its gonna be REALLY hard to get them..... unless you are someone big and *important* that is.

I can tell you ONE THING, though.... after reading this thread I WILL NOT BE CUTTING A CHECK for advertising on GFY (I fully intented to advertise this month: I had Eric email ad rates to me yesterday). I now see how advertisers are treated.

A private phone call or email would likely have resulted in a check being issued.

Brad is more concerned than anyone else I know about his reputation for integrity and fair dealing. Making all this public before there was a fair effort to resolve it privately is a sucker punch.

No one has yet disputed Brad's version of the facts, although some apparently think he should have just walked away from a $6,000 investment. Seems to me that if he offered compensation and Amp didn't take it, Brad's in the clear.

An invoice should have been the first thing sent to Brad's email. You should have given him a chance to pay you without dragging his name through the mud. I simply can't believe the lack of professionalism in this thread.
