As of 3pm yesterday, 1,46 mln refugees entered Poland. We're likely over 1,5 million now.
It is now impossible to rent a flat in any larger city in Poland. There are hundreds of people sleeping at train stations.

Luckily, the EU is helping out immensely by placing sanctions on Poland and cutting us off from EU funds

In Holland there is a shortage of houses since WWII. Can't even house other refugees and even Dutch can't find a house or have money for a house (in most cities cost 5-10 years before getting a house. Has also to do with too much CO2 and N2 and therefor not allowed to build houses (In Germany the standards are 100x less strict). Green Khmer is very active in Holland and you spend years in camps. I would be heading to Germany. If you have skills and work for an online company, could try a digital nomad Visa Brazil or Curacao. Or maybe 4 year residency Mexico, if you are able to enter. But only if you have work, no social secutity there.

Next will be the wave of Africans if there is no food in Africa. Putin knows what he is doing. The sentiment about refugees from Syria turned quickly and Europe started building walls.

I know they have nothing to do with each other. I'm not saying they do. It's over the 'rule of law' shit (which isn't really true, because a ton of court cases are being won against the gov't now over covid restrictions).

I was more implying that the timing for doing this is fucking ridiculous when there is a war going on over our border, and we took in as many refugees in 12 days as entire EU did during the migrant crisis a few years ago.

I think people in the EU, US, south america don´t know how it works in Russia.
I repeat. Russia has become less dependent on imports since 2014.
It has prepared for possible sanctions. It has increased its production (agriculture,
machinery, etc.). As you can see in the video , there is goods/food, just a little less

I don't know man. They have oil, they have food, they have gas. They are hardly fucked. Banning facebook and instagram was a present for VK. They might not be able to buy oranges in winter anymore but i don't think they are seriously fucked in any way because the country is self-sustaining.

Here is the problem for Russia.. Russia didn't run any of its own production for oil & gas. They handled very little of it. That's why all the big oil/gas companies were in Russia because they did it.

That's not something you just "nationalize" then figure out how to run it in 3 weeks. Their production will grind to a slow down.. Added to this they can have all the oil in the world but they can't ship any of it. The sanctions have stopped the shipping of Russian oil because no one will insure the ships even if Russia had a buyer.

Next.. how long do you think it will be before Ukraine guys start hitting Russia's oil/gas infrastructure just like the insurgents do in the middle east? Saudi Arabia just had a refinery attacked 2 days ago.. How long do you think it will be before Ukraine is doing these kinds of attacks inside Russia?

They won't do them now, because they still hope for some way out of this by diplomacy. However, once Ukraine loses Kyiv if they do, then it really free's Ukraine's defense forces up to actually start counter-attacking rather than just defending.. Holding Kyiv serves a purpose to bleed the Russian military and to provide morale for Ukraine. However, if it gets captured then it actually frees up Ukraine to start carrying out insurgent attacks inside Russia & Belarus

They expected sanctions, but they completely underestimated how deep they would go. I don't even think the west expected everyone to rally over this. Also, Putin never expected he'd be cut off from the "war fund assets" he had stashed in other countries. Last I saw, Russia had lost access to 50% of its reserve funds outside of Russia They were actively searching and blocking it as they find it.

They will just get purchased from a dealer in China or some other country and shipped over, and sold to you from a private dealership. Deals will be struck for car parts as well. It will be more expensive and maybe more people will be driving Lada instead of VW, but it's not like they are going back to horses and wagons. Everything will be available and will just come in as private import from countries that aren't sanctioning them.

I disagree. The main thing fueling inflation in the west is fuel costs. If diesel costs more, it costs more to deliver products like food. If gas costs more, all businesses have higher operating costs etc. Since business have higher costs they sell products for higher price. Since everything is more expensive staff requires raises to be able to survive. Since staff requires higher wages, you must raise prices - and the circle closes. It all kind of stems from fuel costs.

Dude you’re crazy if you think Russia ends up in a better position. This is the end of Russia as being relevant to anything more than making threats about nuclear war for at least 20+ years.

This was self inflicted destruction of a country because the leader is a lunatic. There will be no bright days for Russia’s foreseeable future.

Russia can’t even reopen their stock market. They will soon start defaulting on loans. Putin is threatening to nationalize assets of companies which pulled out.

Russia is now a blackhole as an economy. The worst part is Russia’s economy is still “falling” it hasn’t yet reached the bottom.

It might be argued that Russia could brush it off if they could have quickly taken Ukraine and ended the war with a new puppet state. However Russia’s losses on the battlefield show how bad Russia’s military is and how much in disrepair their military is in.

They lost a fucking corvette navel ship to fucking shore fire. One of their newest most modern ships was destroyed by GRAND fire from a shore based attack.

Not only has Russia’s economy been destroyed, they are currently destroying their own military and will not have the ability to rebuild. Russia has been shown to be a paper tiger and the laughing stock of the world.

This is not a short term fuck up. It’s the end of the current state of Russia as even a regional power.
