I disagree. The main thing fueling inflation in the west is fuel costs. If diesel costs more, it costs more to deliver products like food. If gas costs more, all businesses have higher operating costs etc. Since business have higher costs they sell products for higher price. Since everything is more expensive staff requires raises to be able to survive. Since staff requires higher wages, you must raise prices - and the circle closes. It all kind of stems from fuel costs.

What Russia has now, in the short term, is a fucking shit storm but within a year or two they will be in a much better place then before all this started. Yes, Russia has high inflation right now but they will come out of the high inflation much faster then the west will.
