The whole shot reeks of a failed attempt at recreating something you once saw done well in an 80s mag. There's simply no point to it. It's not good, honest, workman like porn you can whack to, but it's not art either, it's just a bit rubbish. The only thing it has going for it, is four pretty good girls with their pants down for no reason, but even that barely lifts it into something worth a quick glance.

About all it succeeds at is being a photographic cautionary tale of how, even with four naked girls somewhere sunny, it's still possible to fuck it up.

I am not writing a book. I do not post here as the master. Paul Markham does. He also brags about you cannot learn from books, that you can't change lenses on a DSLR and other such rubbish.

Some of the points he made about better quality would improve paysites income I agreed with until I saw what he means by better.

Now As this is called "Fucking Around etc" I think it is fair enough that I post what I think. Now him and others have called my photographs bad, and then all I did was post some pretty shitty looking pictures of their main pages. I would also point out that the photos I choose to represent my work are just from routine galleries. I thinl people can judge for themselves.

Now the other game being played here is...I am the best photographer, and when someone points out a rather poor picture, its "I am not a photographer I am pornographer" or look at how much money it made....

Now if it is discussion about photography, come clean from where are you coming from?
Now if people set themselves up as experts I think it is ok to ask them on what basis...

A degree in photography from a good school, prizes from internation competions, experience on a wide range of photographic projects,,,,that would be good, it would be worth listening to such a person....

If the sole basis is they have been photographing weddings for the last 20 years for example then we know on what basis the person speaks.

Again I do not pretend to be a woman. Although the majority of work has been done by woman on Cinema Erotique, sound, set design, make up and of course the models are woman ( except the male models )

the biggest issue for you is going to be your market... you shoot Euro girls and have for 20+ years... ? well Euro models and American models are VASTLY different in almost every possible way... other than having the same 'girly parts' there is no similarity what so ever.

Already covered that part. I have shot in CA and in NY, so had experience with US models. They tend to be more confident and assertive than UK girls who can be a it slutty, CZ girls are more compliant, less apprehensive than both but have a far more open mind to sex. Hungarians can be a bit too money motivated at time. Polish girl can be great, but can have a very guilty streak due to their Catholic upbringing. This is also a problem with Italian, Spanish and Filipino girls, Thai girls are very very reserved. Hover don't judge the girls working as prostitutes or strippers by the rest of the Nations female population.

The biggest problem today is the access to free porn by girls classmates, brothers, friends, family and neighbors. This has made many girls who would of come into published porn less willing. They tend to go for more discreet and better paying adult work. Stripping, lap dancing, escorting.

Also don't judge all the girls doing this by what turns up on casting from these professions. In general these are girls who haven't made the grade in those jobs and looking for other incomes. This industry needs the cream of girls to sell well. These girls can earn a lot of money in other avenues of Adult Sex Work.

My Brother is in his 4th year and will soon take his Masters Degree in Photography. He shoots great pictures that I would be proud of.

He will never earn a penny from Photography, like the rest of his class.

My niece did the same in Art Uni. She now works for a charity company and nothing to do with art.

My cousin went to Drama College, graduated with degrees. Works for a holiday company.

I left school at 14. Worked as a chef and dress designer/pattern cutter until 27. I was trained as a pattern maker in dress manufacturing. Never earned a great deal in those 2 job.

Became an untrained salesman selling office furniture. Sold millions of pounds worth, to the end user, sometimes in one sale. In 1980s I was earning 6 figures a year. GBP not $. Quit to be a pornographer because I was earning more at porn. Another job I had never been trained to do.

I reckon a Million men a month were spilling seed over my pictures, EVERY MONTH. For years and years. Not sure if they give out diplomas for that.

As for lighting, well there just isn't any, not even a reflector or a careful choice of spot so the sun works in your favour. Even the reverse angle along the wall would have been better contra jour.

Lens/aperture choice? Zero thought. Looks like P mode to me, at about f16. Now imagine that shot on a tele, full length with the background more out of focus, still there, but not quite so intrusive. Or imagine it again wide angle from low down, really showing off those long stripey legs against a blue sky. Or just imagine it any way you prefer that has some kind of a "look" For someone who blathers on about "matt boxes" you'd think that would be falling off a creative log.

On the plus side, a lot of your other stuff is pretty good, your book needs tighter editing from about halfway through - too many small images and not enough hero ones. Also, using the laying in the bracken shot twice, once as circular crop and once and regular crop didn't go un-noticed!

As for lens. Never change a lens on a digital camera, it results on dust on the chips and spots on the image. I thought you would know all this.

All your criticism of other peoples pictures is in pseudo photographic babble, when your pictures are published without comment you claim they were just done for the cash.
