Yes $100 million looks big for a site but is small for the real conspiracy theory people.

Sure. Though, there are always small time guys trying to come up. I know a couple guys who are Russian mafia over here in Thailand and they are all (at least the three guys I know) into small time shit. Not sure why they even bother with some of it. Not all mafia guys are big ones. Someone has to do their dirty work and shine the big guys shoes.

Low enough to stop advertising?

I left a handful of scenes on there a while ago (along with some other sites) to see if any traceable traffic was coming from them and it was virtually nonexistent. During the time I did not notice any spike in traffic or sales. I expected a bunch of hits with no sales, but not even the hits came. I know some claim to do very well on tubes, but I am unable to make money with them. A serious kudos to everyone who can.

Paul, when did I ever say that I am the CEO of Manwin Canada? I am not the CEO of Manwin Canada, I do not care how big exactly the office is. All I knew was that the extended lease is around 50000 sqft, but I did not know the exact number so I waited a whole 6 hours until I was home to verify since I could not find it on my iPhone...

To answer your question, 65% of 3rd floor for Management & Admin (rest of it is empty, reserved for us, we just did not build it out yet to not waste cash), 100% of 4th floor for general public, open floor office with conference rooms, 50% of 2nd floor for Support and our content pre and post production currently (likely either of the two are being moved to 3rd floor soon to expand the other) and for our cafeteria and in-house servers, ups, tech room.

We are growing to 100% 3rd, 100% 2nd and option on 5th and 6th when they clear out...

You would care if you were paying out over a million a year in rent, land tax and services. And 15 million in wages.

But then you employ people to look after all that. :1orglaugh

Just because you post something on GFY doesn't make it true. All I ask is PROVE IT.

When I asked about floor space you were clueless about it and ridiculed my answer. Then saw my post which proved me right. Then changed your story. :Oh crap

So how many rest rooms do you need for 300 people?

Agent 488 01-17-2011 10:28 AM

what is the special in the cafeteria today?

You'd only have to make 17 uploads a day, every day for 4 months, to get it. Totally possible if that was all you did all day.

Good luck!

its ironic, that they upload full content of other peoples work up to their tubes, but when it comes to posting content of their own, its limited to 4mins

Nathan 01-17-2011 10:36 AM

How did I change my story? I still think 17.5 sqm per employees is insane, as I said we are at 14.

Are you serious with the rest rooms?! you are fucking out of it man, seriously... WTF do I care how many rest rooms we have?! You think I'll take the plans in my hand now and count them for you because you want me to prove anything? Or you think as the owner of the company I have to of course know the amount of rest rooms I need for 300 people!?

And btw, if you still do not get it, no I would not care about 1m a year rent and 15 mil in wages... think about that one a bit... not more than just knowing that this is what it is....

There is no wonder why you are not bigger in this biz than selling your old videos for cheap.

Something a lot of newbs (and relative newbs) around here might not know is that this clown used to be a good guy back in the day.

Seriously.

And now?

Now, he prides himself on wallowing in the shit amongst the lowest of the low.

Have we ever even met? How does being pragmatic and not just following a ranting and raving lynch mob make me a "bad guy"? So, just because I don't agree with your point of view somehow makes me inferior to you? Sorry, that is what I would call "low".

He wrote about that. Basically, he's bitter because he stepped up to accacia (or whatever it was) and blew shitload of cash while the rest of the industry did not care. So now he does not care about others and tries to make up the cash he lost and save a dying site, but does not fail to mention he blew shitload of cash fighting that case (i dont remember even if it was acacia or what).

I post here because I want to post here. If someone owned this board that I do not care for then I will simply take my posts else where.

There is no wonder why you are not bigger in this biz than selling your old videos for cheap.

A boss cares very much about rest rooms for staff. Get it wrong and you lose space. Or you end up with a line outside the toilets.

If you're employing people with low skills then there's a huge pool to pick from. If you're choosing skilled people the pool is smaller and cost is higher.

In both cases an employer needs to manage and maximise the worked productivity. Having them in a line outside the toilet isn't good.

A good ergonomically planned office can increase staffs performance and pay for itself. An average worker on $50,000 a year in an office that spent $4,000 per person on furniture that will last 10 years. Needs less than 1% improvement in staff productivity to pay for the furniture. Achieving a 5% improvement is possible.

Just the floor plan can improve staffs efficiency by laying out the office in the most productive way.

We all work best where we feel at ease.

If Fabian did raise $100m to buy Manwin and doesn't have these skills he needs to learn them very very fast. Their are many courses and seminars to attend that will help you. Even to manage your two delegates. :1orglaugh

As a content provider I earned far more than your shooters will ever earn. Yes we are still selling content. After 28 months of not shooting. That's the benefit of non exclusive content, to the shooter who doesn't give his work away for peanuts. :thumbsup

epitome 01-17-2011 04:43 PM

Paul, are you really harping on office space?

You do realize that if you do not built-to-suit, which is impractical for 98% of companies to do anyway, you do not determine things such as bathrooms.

I assure you that the architect of the building that Manwin is leasing in installed enough toilets in relation to the square footage of each floor.

You can't blame someone for feeling that way. History has shown that the industry does not reward those who chose to take a stand for the good of the industry- be it against tube sites, accacia, spyware, etc.

If you make a stand against something, you have to do it for your own reasons. Do it because you have morals, do it because you're subborn, do it because you are proud, but don't do it because you think you will gain more affiliates. Do it for yourself or don't do it at all. Few people back their complaints with where they send their business, and the companies that have backed spyware and tube sites have reaped the financial benefits.

I can understand someone feeling like they got burned over taking a stand against something and then not wanting to take a stand again, but just because you got burned doesn't mean you should shit on other people for chosing to make a stand of their own. :2 cents:

Agent 488 01-17-2011 05:41 PM

i'm taking a stand for better and more washrooms for manwin employees.

jonnydoe 01-17-2011 06:04 PM

There's a very simple answer, show us a picture of you standing in the Manwin office with the 300 or some of them at their desks behind you. Or better still video it so we can see you walk from the reception to the working offices.

Perception is everything in this business as we rarely meet each other except at shows and that's no real guide.

The perception I get is Manwin is a company with much to hide, from it's domain management to it's office address. Even you don't come across as a person who runs a company with 300 employees. Your knowledge of the porn industry is crap and you prove it over and over again.

Why does there have to be anxiety? And it certainly can't take hours to go through this thread.

BUT, he didn't take a stand for the industry, he took a stand for himself. He didn't want to pay the license fees and thought acacia was bullshit. He got into a legal battle with them to protect himself first and foremost. Everyone else was just a by product of that.

I'll be the first one to admit when I started all the zango / spyware posting that i wasn't spending all of that time to try to be some industry savior.

The "bros" think you doing it because you want to be some "savior".
The trolls think you doing it for the attention.

In my situation, it was pretty simple. I was pissed. I wanted to expose the companies stealing from me and the only way I knew how to do that was to post about it and inform everyone else so they would get pissed. I was trying to protect my own income. Just like Far-L was with Acacia suit. No one is going to spend their time and money for the sole benefit of others.

In adult I don't think any of us can truly claim the moral high ground but some of us have certain principals to which we stay true. It may not get me more sales at the end of the day, and it may not make me any friends, but when I express my opinion it's an honest opinion and I'd like to think because of that the rep I do have is solid.

Sometimes when you take a stand you get lucky and find solidarity, sometimes you stand alone and wind up with mud on your face.

Paul, could you give me a crash course on toilet supply logistics for a staff of 328 people? I think I am not good enough there yet, we keep having too much toilet paper in stock, and obviously that is my fault as the owner of the company... I should clearly understand the need of toilet paper better!

Paul, I should hire you as a comedian, I think if I would ask your toilet question to my CEO in Canada, he would have the time of his life...

Luckily I have not yet noticed any lines infront of the toilet... We are spending 300k building out the rest of 3rd floor, I'll make very sure the toilet's are planned there well! Thx for the heads up! I would have totally forgotten about it!

Paul, seriously... I do not micro manage, my teams work the best if they feel comfortable and in control. Me dictating to 20 people in some board room what has to be done where is a stupid stupid thing to do. For 50% of my acquisitions, the team that I take over is the most important part of it, without that, everything falls apart! If you really really think that I would have to micro manage the whole team, good thing you never ran a bigger company, or you would have run it against the wall...

Looking forward to your next entertaining post though!

DamianJ 01-18-2011 01:36 AM

Nathan, have you studied the amount of time the average employee (rogue or otherwise) spends in the lavatory? By requesting staff do number twos at home, you will save 4,398 man hours per week, will need less square footage and use less lavatory paper.

This could be seen as:

s/m = -14 ph

And if you make the girls just shake their vagines rather than wiping you will save 4 trees a week and increase your bottom (ahahah) line.

HTH.

Your pal

Damian

arock10 01-18-2011 08:00 AM

Hey Paul and Nathan, I brought up the toilets, and not to ruin this very serious thread but yes it was all comedy. Feel free to fly me up to Canada when its way warmer and I will be happy to do a stand up comedy bit on Manwin toilets (or sit down depending what I've got to do).

Sorry to derail this important thread between industry giants, it was not my intention. Have a nice day. Also buy my tube script which will be launched in a couple hours. You'll know its launched when I update my signature. Thank you very much

This thread is fucking Hilarious, How many toilets in the office Paul???? What the fuck man LOL,

cherrylula 01-18-2011 08:47 AM

some of us don't know or care who manwin is! so bye bye!

DWB 01-18-2011 09:18 AM

OK... so we need to get serious around here.

What if one of the toilets was stopped up for more than 48 hours? What's the back-up plan for such thing? How man plungers are in the building? Are they chrome or wooden handled? Is the toilet paper single, double or triple ply?

And tell me about the fire escape plan.

Nathan 01-18-2011 09:25 AM

DWB, I do know so much: we have more than one toilet, I bet even more than 2, per floor!! I will however ask the building manager what the toilet emergency plan is!

arock10 01-18-2011 10:09 AM

Good to hear you are being proactive about this situation Nathan. Btw, signature updated, but don't try to run PornHub off it, don't think it'll scale well enough

Topic is a comedy, but I used to deal with cam studios and I had a toilet paper rolls issue really! We had few rooms with models there working in shifts of x hours, day and night. Ok manwin office maybe is closed in night, and employees keep clothed and don't moan often (I assume? or?), however we calculated the toilet paper rolls per girl per hour and we was still missing toilet paper rolls every week-end, like if girls spent hours in toilet.
Finally we figured out: at least one girl was stealing the toilet paper, and bringing a roll or two home in her bag, every day.
We was purchasing a very soft (and expensive) toilet paper for the studio, that gave side effects that it was better than toilet paper this girl had at her home. We then started to buy cheap toilet paper, not so soft on her ass, and stealing stopped.
We had same issue with thea, it seemed they drink too much, instead it was a girl she put in bag before go home every end of shift. We change thea brand into cheaper and stealing stopped. In general cam studio material must be all bad, or the girls they bring it all home. Possibly can happen with some office employees too with some item, so you calculate it well but still is too few, as you not counted theft.
