MUST READ - BAD BUSINESSES LIST - and a good thing

Ok,

Seeing that there are so many people that think its cool to take away from the industry instead of contribute it to it, we at Shane's World would like to extend a hand to ANY and ALL companies and individuals that are willing to take the same stand that we are in the fight against content theft and overall well being of an industry that is attacked from all angles by the parasites of the intranets, and from within in the form of undercover "bros".

First things first. List all companies that profit from the theft of content. If you find evidence of financing piracy or blatant content theft, please post it here. We already know of a few that try to skate on the edges of the law to make a few bucks extra at the expense of others. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PROOF!

meow.

We are in fact going to extend our hand to anyone who wants to take a stand with us and say that we will make every effort to work with any company that wants to help deter the theft of very expensive content.

You don't have to be a content producer. Affiliates are encouraged to help twart the devaluation of adult content as well. After all, in the long run it hurts us all, whether you can see it now or not.

Please help us fight the fight to protect our futures in adult online. I'll get this way more organized here in the short term future, for now this is an idea that I want to see how much support is there for it.

To those that are interested in supporting the cause we will work with you in whatever fashion we can. What we're essentially looking for are committed eyes to police ourself. If we don't do that rest assured that those who feed off of our resources for profit will become that much stronger. For people on the list of industry supporters, we will work together on anything we can from within the circle of people that don't want to be part of the other circle. This industry is segregated on so many other levels, whats another one really going to hurt.

A website will be created to house evidence AND PROOF of those financing piracy.

Thanks for your support. For those of you that think I am beating an animal that feels no pain, stop for a second and think how you would conduct business without content. There are a very very small amount of you that do not rely on content to make a living in some fashion. Really think about it. If tomorrow there was NO content available, would it affect your business?

Sign yourself up by copying and pasting this list as you quote to add yourself
If you are intimidated to post here, you can email or icq us. support at shanesworld or my icq in my sig.

BUMP FOR THE CAUSE even if you think I'm a douche. This is about the industry, not me.

*By the way, theft is theft, and I personally (airek), do not want to hear any dmca compliance bull crap. We all know this game, and hopefully with any luck, this will be the loop hole closed up by the new laws that are on the table now. These sites "knowingly" profit from stolen content, and they know it. having to have your content removed only to see it go back up the next day is absolute horse crap. (trying not to curse anymore) haha.

if it was up to me, i would go as far as to have the companies financing piracy pay for the legal fees of those suffering from it.

fris 08-15-2007 09:37 AM

Someone should pay someone to go through sites to find content not be used without permission, it could be a full time job

GooSearch 08-15-2007 09:39 AM

bumpfor you dude.. will b a helluva thread

yah, thats why i want to do something like this as well. if we can form a group of community watch style where in your travels you spot something, you notify everyone else. it is a full time job and i certainly do not have all the resources here to do it alone. this stuff is out of hand and its time that this industry takes responsibility for itself. hundreds of pairs of eyes could whip things into shape in no time.

we could even go as far as setting up an anonymous notification system on the website for the coalition.

:thumbsup:2 cents:

BoyAlley 08-15-2007 09:41 AM

Well you know my lil gay homosexual www.AlleyBucks.com is with ya.

Very good job taking a stand guys.

Maybe if we push things hard enough, not financing criminals will be come the "in thing".

things like this are exactly what are needed. this theft ring is not as big as it may seem. the ones with actual dangerous levels of traffic that cause the biggest dents in us are in the 30 sites range i would bet. the word will get out. we have to bite and hold on tight. no ones finances are infinite. no one. at a certain point, everyone has a point where they have to comply. everyone.

things as small as taking some time to look for others stuff, or bump some threads, or send someone an email are all that is needed.

every little bit helps.

:thumbsup

With some organization (and a number of people with some spare hours per day) you could slice adult into niches and ask those people to police the niche they are responsible for.

Put together a list of the worst offending sharing sites, so that they can be productive from the off.

In addition they would need to be granted the right to act on various companies behalf in removing the content which should be pretty easy to organize. Maybe some other handy tools such as written notices etc to make things easier.

See how it goes for a few months and if it goes well (content is getting removed, sites are being added to "do not post lists etc) webmasters will no doubt like it and then you can start talking about a nominal fee to remain on the list of sites that will be looked out for.

If you take a stand with us ... you will be first on our list of people to do deals with, promote, market with, etc. We will do whatever we can to help those helping us ... as well all should.

seeric 08-15-2007 10:02 AM

we will start by harvesting a list of offenders (torrents), people who slurp NGs.

there are many obstacles. believing that those obstacles are unconquerable is not an option.

this needs to get to the point of the industry itself funding a lobbyist and sending people into government. if you say it can't be done you've already lost the battle.

it's just porn people. cigarettes KILL people and they have support inside the government. anything is possible.

I see an empty bad list... are we still pussy footing around?

JFK 08-15-2007 10:10 AM

NICE :thumbsup

EdgeXXX 08-15-2007 10:10 AM

I've got NO problems naming names, so here's the first 10 BAD businesses to get the list going...

Bad Business List:

1. AFF (including Cams.com, Streamray, and the rest of their network of sites)
2. Fleshlight
3. AVN (AdBright)
4. Fling
5. NastyDollars (same parent company as Fling)
6. BangBros (same parent company as Fling)
7. HugeTraffic (same parent company as Fling)
8. Kink.com (KinkyDollars)
9. HornyMatches.com
10. TotemCash
11.

signupdamnit 08-15-2007 10:11 AM

I have to add Naughty America to the good list. They seem top notch and have always been good to their affiliates. Case in point, a few months back where they caught someone using adware and actually returned the sales back to the rightful affiliate refferrers.

So we have (from what I see so far):

--------------------------------------------

Good Business List

1. Shane's World
2. Webair
3. Naughty America
4. AlleyBucks
5.

-add more

Bad Business List

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

-add more

--------------------------------------------------------

Also might I suggest a seperate list where the GOOD BUSINESSES are listed according to services and niches offered? This way when we have need for a service, we can refer to this list and help reward the ones doing right?

What did you catch kink.com doing? I promote them currently and am interested. I may take down their links today if I agree with you.

And for future reference what did TotemCash do?

Thanks. :thumbsup

PS- I like this. A lot.

ServerGenius 08-15-2007 10:18 AM

Let me add http://www.sinnerscash.com (goes live september 1st) To the good list that is :winkwink:
We will have a closed affiliate signup system which works by invite only.
Our terms will state very clearly anti spyware, torrent and other bad business
tactics. All new affiliates will be reviewed before approval and all traffic will
be analized and traced pro-actively to prevent any illegal or shady business
tactics.

I'll also offer 8 hours a week of my dedicated time to contribute to such
organisation to do any active work to which I can contribute.

Also will I contribute financially to a new organisation regarding all of this
as long as they're's a good plan that comes with it........whether be in the
form of a donation or a paid membership.

Who else will put their money where their mouth is?

:thumbsup

JD 08-15-2007 10:18 AM

i'll help where ever I can. just lmk my duties sarge.

over and out

seeric 08-15-2007 10:18 AM

the ones on that bad list, i know most of them are confirmed. if we can get solid examples, old gfy threads and such, that will help to be listed on the site.

EdgeXXX 08-15-2007 10:19 AM

So far according to this thread:

Good Business List

1. Shane's World
2. AlleyBucks
3. Mallcom
4. Webair
5. Octology Media (SexStuffSells.com)
6. EdgeX Media - Whores Illustrated
7. Naughty America
8. SinnersCash.com

BoyAlley 08-15-2007 10:20 AM

Well we'll see just how far people are willing to take this.

I noticed AVN on that list because of Adbright. Does that mean that the "good" companies will refuse to buy advertising from AVN or support any of their conventions until they make it off of the "bad" list?

It'll be interesting to see exactly how much push is actually behind this shove. :2 cents:
