You are now saying that I needed to get the owner’s approval to promote LJ on my site because I was being innovative? That is totally bizarre.

I met Douglas in Las Vegas at XBIZ. I joined as an affiliate THAT NIGHT. I also joined as a CUSTOMER with $100 in credits. I did not join under my affiliate ID. I did this so I could see firsthand what LJ was all about. I wanted to see what my Members would see when they joined LJ.

For the next two weeks I communicated with Douglas on pretty much a daily basis by phone and ICQ. I didn’t think for one minute it was necessary to go ‘over his head’. Besides, I did not know who Mickey was until months later once the problems grew beyond Douglas’ ability to fix them.

You keep saying that I “leveraged” my members. Wow! I didn’t think my site had that much ‘clout’. AWE must be pretty weak if my site had enough gravitas to make one bit of difference.

Look, get past your narrow-minded cynicism for one minute. Consider the possibility that I was actually looking for a win-win-win working arrangement with AWE.

Numerous times I would say to AWE Staff and my Members that I was looking forward to a long term relationship. Even when things were looking problematic I tried to work it out because I had gone on record with my Members that LJ was here to stay.

In retrospect, that was one of the biggest mistakes I made. I had to “eat crow” when I pulled the plug publicly with AWE.

As to whether I'm a "Special Case", I was working hard to be a solid asset to AWE. They shot themselves in the foot with me. Judging from the reaction on this and other AWE threads, a lot of other people feel the same way, too.

The more you tongue-kiss their ass, the more you look like a jackass. But that’s my OPINION, not necessarily a FACT. I can tell the difference.

I was mistaken about a small detail in my previous post

In my previous post I wrote that I had sent Mickey the latest email 3 1/2 days ago .. early Thursday morning EST (GMT -5). Had this been the case he would have had all day Thursday and Monday to read the email and reply.

I was wrong about the that. I did in fact send the email at Noon EST of Friday. By then the business day was over in Europe.

I apologize for mis-stating the time/dates in the earlier post. I had gotten that info from the email before that.

That being said, you did have all day today (Monday) to respond. Considering the time and energy that has been put into this matter I would have hoped that your response would have been forthcoming today. Or at least an acknowledgment that you have received the email and are working on your reply. That would have been nice.

Just promise me that you'll make a GOOD FAITH effort to resolve this and I'll be patient for a few more days. Heck, I've waited this long.

HA-HA (simpsons style). i have been with awe since february and never had a single problem with them... even when the whole epass fiasco went down, they politely let me know payments would be a couple days late... as far as where their offices are... its none of your fucking business... due diligence... should have done your research before putting all that effort into 'promoting them' as you call it... at which point you would have found out that its hard to find where they are based out of... and you could have made a call then on weather that bothered you or not. then again, you thought u had the ultimate plan on how to make a quick 222-99 dollars... oh and regarding the whale... do you people honestly think the head poncho at awe said 'lets steal a pic and put it on the banner'... give me a fuckin break... honest mistake, some designer fucked up nothing more... i bet his ass got disciplined. seriously tho cxa... you forgot rule #332... dont scam... and if you do... dont get caught.
