I've been fighting a two year battle with my neighbor. He's a renter. He came to my house when he first moved in, introduced himself, and asked me to sign off on him building a "sidewalk". There was no mistake in the language; He's Hispanic but spoke fluent English. The next day I woke up and discovered he had removed all of the trees and bushes between our houses, and extended his driveway all the way to my property line. This is because he runs a landscape business from the house (that he rents), and he turned the driveway into parking lot for his small fleet of trucks.

Two weeks ago was the straw that broke the camel's back. I filed a complaint with the police department claiming that there was an "unusual amount of people living in the house" and that one of them had told me most of them were in the US illegally. The cops moved in and arrested everyone except for the renter, who was the only legal resident in the house. Gone are the six or seven Mexicans that spent their nights standing outside of the house talking on cell phones, and gone is the fleet of work trucks. I have my neighborhood back.

Don't call me a racist. The guy across the street is also Mexican. Husband is an electrician, wife cleans houses, two nice kids. He told me about becoming a US citizen; I've eaten at his house and even celebrated the 4th of July with him. He's proud to be an American and I'm happy to be friends with him.

But if your breaking the law, here illegally, taking from "the system" without putting anything into it, well, your a criminal.

When I go to another country, I take my DL and my passport. And being as I'm not a citizen of, say France, I'd always carry my passport with me. Same thing when I go to Mexico. This isn't discrimination, it's a fact of life when your in another country.

As a tax payer in California this is what I feared. My state seems to have an open arms approach to illegals and if the surrounding states are less hospitable then there will be an increase in illegal immigration to my state.

I live in Phoenix, I once lived next door to illegals who did nothing but start problems. I called the cops on them several times to be told we can not enforce or ask for there legal status. Now if that situation were to happen the cops would in fact have to ask for there IDs just the same way they asked for our IDs when we called them. That is something people don't realize, cops in fear of losing there jobs here would never ask Mexicans who weren't breaking a serious law for there IDs b/c of racial profiling. Now they can and have to ask them for there ID. If me as an American am walking down the street and I look suspect or similar to someone who is being looked for and I get asked by a cop I have to provide a state issued ID. If I do not I can be taken to jail and charged with a misdemeanor, I have had friends who have had this happen.

Unlike Cali's borders AZ border with Mexico is HUGE, and there are alot of human traffic coming thru our borders here, then they spread out thru America. This has caused severe violence in every city and town across AZ not just border towns. The Rancher being killed was the straw that broke the camels back, that is attacking AZ heart when you go after our ranchers. There have also been dozens of situations that have unfolded on Tucson and Phoenix freeways, 2 of which ended in a moving gun battle on I-10 in the Ahwatukee area of southern phoenix. 4 people were killed that were doing nothing but driving home.

I personally don't think this law is tough enough. We as a nation have immigration laws, all legal immigrants have to speak a certain amount of English. So yes if a person can not speak English then that is enough to warrant a cop to verify there legal status. Not just for brown people either, if you are German and visiting America you should have to have your passport on you at all times, especially if you don't speak our native language

There are now a lot of Americans who could use the jobs these illegals are stealing, children of illegals are taking over our schools, the most dangerous gang in America right now is MS-13, they are everywhere small towns, rich towns, not just the ghetto and this gang is 80% illegal immigrants from Mexico and southern America. These people are violent and don't care about the rules of society.

I say kick them all the fuck out, we need to worry about our own people not some 3rd worlds poor people. There is ways to become a legal immigrant, and all these illegals spit on the work those legal immigrants have done to become a legal citizen of America.

Thanx for pointing that out, I can't believe the crap thats coming out of my own state of california about this, we tried to pass prop 187 in 94 and it got overturned by a judge saying it was unconstitutional, I hope that your law stays in effect and anyone that boycotts your state looses for it

See now this is a prime example of racial profiling. Just because a person is black does not make them criminal. And I hate to rain on your parade but if you look at all the white gangs, biker gangs and all white militias we white people have just as many violent gang members across the USA as blacks do. However large of a problem this is it is a homegrown issue. Kind of like having a drug addict in the family. I have been and it sucked, they told us we give them all but $20 we had on us or we go to jail, oh the officer offered to take it out on trade with me... I was fucking 17 and the cop new it!!! The next day I woke up and discovered he had removed all of the trees and bushes between our houses, and extended his driveway all the way to my property line. This is because he runs a landscape business from the house (that he rents), and he turned the driveway into parking lot for his small fleet of trucks. Two weeks ago was the straw that broke the camel's back. I filed a complaint with the police department claiming that there was an "unusual amount of people living in the house" and that one of them had told me most of them were in the US illegally. The cops moved in and arrested everyone except for the renter, who was the only legal resident in the house. Gone are the six or seven Mexicans that spent their nights standing outside of the house talking on cell phones, and gone is the fleet of work trucks. I have my neighborhood back. Don't call me a racist. The guy across the street is also Mexican. Husband is an electrician, wife cleans houses, two nice kids. He told me about becoming a US citizen; I've eaten at his house and even celebrated the 4th of July with him. He's proud to be an American and I'm happy to be friends with him. I called the cops on them several times to be told we can not enforce or ask for there legal status. Now if that situation were to happen the cops would in fact have to ask for there IDs just the same way they asked for our IDs when we called them. That is something people don't realize, cops in fear of losing there jobs here would never ask Mexicans who weren't breaking a serious law for there IDs b/c of racial profiling. If I do not I can be taken to jail and charged with a misdemeanor, I have had friends who have had this happen. Unlike Cali's borders AZ border with Mexico is HUGE, and there are alot of human traffic coming thru our borders here, then they spread out thru America. This has caused severe violence in every city and town across AZ not just border towns. The Rancher being killed was the straw that broke the camels back, that is attacking AZ heart when you go after our ranchers. There have also been dozens of situations that have unfolded on Tucson and Phoenix freeways, 2 of which ended in a moving gun battle on I-10 in the Ahwatukee area of southern phoenix. 4 people were killed that were doing nothing but driving home. I personally don't think this law is tough enough. We as a nation have immigration laws, all legal immigrants have to speak a certain amount of English. So yes if a person can not speak English then that is enough to warrant a cop to verify there legal status. Not just for brown people either, if you are German and visiting America you should have to have your passport on you at all times, especially if you don't speak our native language There are now a lot of Americans who could use the jobs these illegals are stealing, children of illegals are taking over our schools, the most dangerous gang in America right now is MS-13, they are everywhere small towns, rich towns, not just the ghetto and this gang is 80% illegal immigrants from Mexico and southern America. As for abuse, the Mexican government is notorious for its abuse of Central American illegal aliens who attempt to violate Mexico's southern border. The Red Cross has protested rampant Mexican police corruption, intimidation and bribery schemes targeting illegal aliens there for years. Mexico didn't respond by granting mass amnesty to illegal aliens, as it is demanding that we do. It clamped down on its borders even further. In late 2008, the Mexican government launched an aggressive deportation plan to curtain illegal Cuban immigration and human trafficking through Cancun. Meanwhile, Mexican consular offices in the United States have coordinated with left-wing social justice groups and the Catholic Church leadership to demand a moratorium on all deportations and a freeze on all employment raids across America. Mexico is doing the job Arizona is now doing -- a job the U.S. government has failed miserably to do: putting its people first. Here's the proper rejoinder to all the hysterical demagogues in Mexico (and their sympathizers here on American soil) now calling for boycotts and invoking Jim Crow laws, apartheid and the Holocaust because Arizona has taken its sovereignty into its own hands: Hipócritas.
