Dude, I didn't even start singling out a race by any stretch of the imagination. A country yes. Mexico. Not a race a country. Notice I didn't mention China, cause however they do it they do it under the cover and don't try to deplete our system. The only time you know Chinese are here are when they are successful and they operate on their own network.

Illegals can't take advantage of the welfare system - but a huge part of the 30 million illegals do use our medical system, and don't pay for it... use our roads, services, etc but don't pay taxes.

That's what's broken about it... not the actual systems.

Anyway - the issue is illegal immigrants are crossing into our Country, murdering Americans, raiding homes, robbing them, and destroying our lands as they pass through by the millions every year. They are costing our people, cities, and states millions in resources that it doesn't have the money to pay for.

It finally reached a point that the States had to take more action.

You're not being offensive but what Im arguing against is the means, not the end. Let's say hypothetically that the 20 years from now, Canada becomes a third world country (sorry to all by Canadian brethren for bringing you into this lol) and Northern States had a big problem with Canadian illegals, an influx of illegal drugs coming in from Canada and a spike in violence, how do you propose states like Minnesotta, North Dakota, NY, etc go about enforcing a similar law? That's what Im debating against, not the law, but the methods of enforcement.

What im also trying to say is that this is part of a bigger problem with the system. We go from one extreme to another. For example, let's take 9/11 when alot of things changed in this country...

We go from airline companies being able to outsource airline security to the cheapest (and in most cases least qualified) bidder in the past to setting up Homeland Security and you can't even have a bottle of water or toothpaste. We go from airlines trying to squeeze in as many flights as possible to increase their profits to having to show up 3 hrs ahead of time at the airport. We go from complete freedom of privacy to the rights of government to be able to wire tap you, enter your property without proper warrants and detain you without representation.

I see this in financial reform now as well, we go from 50 years of deregulation and a financial free-for-all to having people decide what bonuses a CEO or executive is entitled to, but that's a whole nother argument..

And now we go from zero immigration reform or policy to racial profiling. I guess there is no middle ground, forethought or moderation, we live on extremes, thats my biggest gripe..

I guess you haven't really been keeping up at all....

We have federal immigration laws that have been enforced for a long time. We have had corrections in the law, new parts of the wall put up, old parts corrected, laws to allow local police/sheriff to be called in, laws/orders for national guard, we have detection systems/cameras, motion things, it's illegal to hire them for business or home/pay them, towns have pulled together/resources/funds, we have the minute men, and the list goes on and on for the last 30 years.

You have a lot of things in here that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the Southern Border Problem. And that's probably the problem. People are always trying to work all the other bullshit in.

Right, and the federal gov't SHOULD have done something more about it, but for reasons Im unaware of, political, financial, legal, or whatever, it didn't happen or it didn't work as intended, and now AZ had their hand forced.

That depends on what changed... but the State has the end power, always. Like pot laws, federal wise its illegal - however the State can make it legal. But the fed could still bust you for pot, it's the Fed prosecuting you, not the State.

However the AZ laws aren't anything that steps on the Fed's toes. Giving the local law enforcement more powers can only be decided at the State level.

I dont have solution, but I dont think this is the right one either. I have not read the actual law but what's gonna happen to an illegal? They go to prison? There's more tax dollars being spent. They get deported? Big deal they'll be out in a few weeks and will to sneak back in again as they do right now. For example, let's take 9/11 when alot of things changed in this country... We go from airline companies being able to outsource airline security to the cheapest (and in most cases least qualified) bidder in the past to setting up Homeland Security and you can't even have a bottle of water or toothpaste. We go from airlines trying to squeeze in as many flights as possible to increase their profits to having to show up 3 hrs ahead of time at the airport. We go from complete freedom of privacy to the rights of government to be able to wire tap you, enter your property without proper warrants and detain you without representation. I see this in financial reform now as well, we go from 50 years of deregulation and a financial free-for-all to having people decide what bonuses a CEO or executive is entitled to, but that's a whole nother argument.. And now we go from zero immigration reform or policy to racial profiling.
