I make them regularly, someone bought us a bread / dough maker for a wedding gift years ago.
Thin crust, pizza tomato paste (bought, I cheat), gourmet italian chilli sausages, onion jam, roast red peppers, Spanish red onions, crumbed feta cheese. Topped out of the oven with rocket. |

Thin crust, good tomato sauce, mozzarella, green pesto and garlic.
SOMETIMES (rarely, mostly hungover) a junkfood pizza is heaven. Something you order and get delivered. bbq-sauce, chicken, bacon, tons of cheese and such. But that's not even real pizza.

That's it. Its like eggplant and aubergine or cilantro and coriander. My favorite pizza rarely comes from a chain except maybe Pizza Express in London. It has to be thin crust usually with emmantal cheese, basil drizzled with hot oil. And the crust can't fold like a wet vagina. It has to be firm. French make great pizza as well as the Italians.

Good pizza is the one take out sort of food they just don't do right in the UK.
I miss a good mom and pop pizza that is the sort that you can fold over. I like cheese that you know is just on the verge of being too hot. I even like the pizza tit bubble. For toppings, I will normally go with a basic mushroom and peperoni but if it is really good pizza I can even have it just plain. I don't know why they don't do it well here. I have had really good pizza on the continent and even in countries such as Belgium but not anywhere in the UK. |

As weekly said, the only place I found that does half decent pizza in London, is Pizza Express. They're all over the place, Covent Garden, Hampstead, Camden. Give them a go.

Thin crust, traditional stone oven.
Thin layer of tomato sauce, mozarella, thin slices of ham and caramelized unions. Topped off with basil leaves, some oregano and pesto on the side.

Flavorful dough, thin, crispy, a good zesty sauce, meat toppings that are real and thick cut (not that fake "beef topping", little dog pellets for what is supposed to be Italian sausage, or bacon bits instead of real bacon, or tiny cocktail shrimp, the REAL stuff please), mushrooms, onions, green peppers.
I'm also a fan of the bacon, ham and pinneapple combo. Pre-bake it all, then add extra mozza all over it for the last few minutes of cooking. Then I shake some stinky parmesan cheese on it and some tabasco and I'm in heaven.

The oven should be 550-600 degrees to create a thin crust that bakes up cripsy but not hard or burned. The (red) sauce should be both spicy and sweet with extra garlic. Spread the sauce so you leave at least 2 inches of dough on the edges uncovered. Coat the uncovered edge in garlic butter. Spread fresh mozzarella liberally over the entire pizza. Thin sliced pepperoni is my favorite topping...either that or a garbage pizza (everything on it).
