Romney is tall, handsome, and very polished --the Massachusetts connection isn't his only resemblance to JFK.

It looks like the country might be more ready to for a black guy or a woman than people want to think. The reality is that many people who won't vote for Obama simply because he is black live in backwoods conservative states that he wouldn't win anyway. Since we have the electoral college and not a popular vote for president it doesn't matter if everyone in some of these states vote against him, he likely wouldn't be winning those states anyway and it doesn't matter how bad you lose them by. |

Mitt first with his Mormons voters. Paul second with the clear thinkers. Funny because Paul picked up more delegates then those fighting for second in SC.
Not too smart of those fighting in SC. But we do not want a president that thinks do we?

Now say Cinton/Obama win all the states Kerry and Gore both won and also, NH, NM, and Iowa that's 264 electoral votes. So where are the 6 more electoral votes coming from if you are going to ignore the "ignorant rednecks"? And remember if it's McCain/Romney ticket NH will most likely go GOP since Kerry BARELY won it in 2004. So that's 10 electoral votes needed." Also McCain being from Arizona also gets NM. So that's now 15 electoral votes need. If the dems are counting on a strategy where they win either Ohio or Florida they are fucked be cause there is ZERO guarantee they'll win either. And there is no plan B. A Edwards/Richardson ticket is a GUARANTEED winner and the dems are too fucking retarded to see this. |

I don't think an Edwards/Richardson ticket is guarantee in any way. There are a lot of people (including democrats) that for some reason don't like Edwards. He has a smugness about him that turns a lot of people off and so far he hasn't even won one primary. The polls show that no candidate is a shoe in at this point. McCain (in the current polls) beats Hillary, Obama and Edwards so I wouldn't go so far as to guarantee anything. Also, if Bloomberg jumps in it could cause a lot of chaos and then who knows what would happen. |

In 2000 McCain was CLEARLY the better GOP representative for President. Yes Bush won but we all pay for the GOPs idiocy 8 years ago. McCain would have beaten Gore easily in both the electoral vote and the popular vote and there wouldn't have been any issues with questionable goings on. because they elected Bush the GOP lost Congress in 2006. They'll keeping losing Congress in 2008 and they'll have a hard time winning the Presidency in 2008. Now if the GOP had nominated McCain in 200 none of this would have happened. Hindshight's a bitch sometimes. Seems the GOP has learned at least somewhat. 1984 Mondale, 1988 Dukakis, 2004 Kerry. Please tell me you HONESTLY believe these were the BEST choices for the dems. I think all primaries should be open so that way the extremes in each party don't get to dictate which candidates get nominated. And ban caucuses. All states should have primaries. |

Second - I don't know what the plan is if they can't win ohio or florida. You could argue that Clinton could win Arkansas. She and bill are well liked there. third - I would venture to guess that none of those three candidates were the best. there is always someone better out there. Fourth - I agree with you completely. I also think they should all be held on the same day. Say April first or something like that. Every state has it's primary, no caucuses, no early primaries that let fringe candidates come out of nowhere and gain momentum. My entire point with my posts is that I don't think Obama being black will be as big an issue as some want to think it would. |
