ILet's assume for a moment that I did not pull the plug for your failure to fullfil your end of the deal......If by the 15th of September I only had 6 of the 10 sets then you would have gotten your 2 grand back on that date. In this case you did not pay the full 5 grand so I will apply the 2 grand to the shoots that I owe you. I think it is safe to say that I will not have 4 shoots ready for you on that date so I will in fact owe you $2000 on September 15th.

so.... to boil this down here... in essence, this isn't about the money or the gear anymore.... it's about a matter of a few days.

And you (Rory) can't pick it up on the 15th because you're going to be in a different state. Understandable.

Yet Aaron isn't willing to give you the $$ or the gear any earlier than the 15th,... (which isn't possible for you, again, because you will be gone on other business.) Seems a little unreasonable.

Do you need the money and the gear in order to accomplish your shoot in California?

If not, I'd suggest simply waiting until you return and pick it up when you get back.

If you do, then grab a bigger hammer and keep pounding. Or at least get your gear picked up.

Aaron, whatever your reason is for not giving him the $$ before the 15th, is there a reason why he cannot pick up his gear prior to his flight? The money may be spent and maybe that's the reason the 15th is important here, but certainly there's no reason to hold his equipment hostage is there?
