Do you need the money and the gear in order to accomplish your shoot in California?
If not, I'd suggest simply waiting until you return and pick it up when you get back.
If you do, then grab a bigger hammer and keep pounding. Or at least get your gear picked up.
Aaron, whatever your reason is for not giving him the $$ before the 15th, is there a reason why he cannot pick up his gear prior to his flight? The money may be spent and maybe that's the reason the 15th is important here, but certainly there's no reason to hold his equipment hostage is there?

I need the money to pay models. That is why this money was paid to aaron in the first place. Shoots, I have none. I need money to produce some. Some of that money happens to be residing with aaron.
