I found it very generous that he sent an annonymous check for $12,000 to one of his biggest haters who almost had to close his website down because his wife became ill and he could not afford to run the website any longer..
Just goes to show that even being hated by someone doesnt mean you have to be a complete asshole, he had the $$$ to pay for it, so he stepped up and sent the check to ensure that someone could keep up with their freedom of speech and also help their wife.. commendable in my book.. |
yeah too bad he is trying to look out for the welfare and well being of children and people in general in your country...must have really bothered you to see someone on the side of good
dont worry..maybe there will be a devastating plague or tornado that kills some people...then you will be happy |
media, he may did it in order to include it in his movie (not that still wasn't a a good act since it helped someone's life). Hard to tell, but the fact remains this guy's wife needed $12k for a health issue she most like shouldnt have to pay at all and be provided for "free".

your a fucking piece of shit. Yes, you. I hope you find yourself without medical care or find yourself in debt up to your eyeballs because you cant afford your medical bills. |

I don't really understand where this is going.
Sure Michael Moore is fat, but what does that matter? He makes some decent films that ask important questions. Would it make you happier if he looked like Brad Pitt or someone like that? |

So, you guys want the government to handle health care? Do you really think that the same government you complain about is going to do a better job?

Govt. does a better job running huge organizations, they do it more efficiently and cheaper than private enterprise in just about EVERY case. You can find anecdotal evidence to the contrary, as you can in every situation, but that's a FACT. |

On top of that, everyone who buys health insurance or pays their own medical bills is paying for socialized medicine. A true private healthcare system can turn away people, can deny healthcare. Our current system doesn't allow that, and the people who do pay their bills are the ones who pay for the poor. It's why Aspirin is $20, why a simple MRI is hundreds, and why just staying in a bed in a hospital for a night is over $10,000. So we need to stop saying that our system is privatized. It's still socialized medicine with flaws. The difference is whether we pay for the poor in our taxes or through our health insurance. So I'm not saying that the government should run everything, but I'm saying that our current healthcare system is far from a private system that utilizes capitalism. |

And your assumption that private companies do everything better is wrong. It's a talking point of private companies that can only stay in business by sucking government dick and getting fat contracts. |

First of all just to get to the emergency room and have a doctor check me out was $1514. MRI scan was $2836. And thats just face, neck and chest.. and I need another one of those damn things for another procedure.. blah |

I think I am going to shed a tear on July 4th for all the intelligent people in the US who have to sit idly by while the rich and utterly retarded run the country into the ground because they can't even understand that they are quickly turning the place into a banana republic slowly slipping more and more into debt while China quietly accepts their position at the top of the pedestal as the new World Super Power. Actually, on second thought I will probably laugh instead because that is what everyone down there is going to be doing while lighting fireworks and having a grand old time...no cares in the world because today equals tomorrow (that's what dad told me anyways) progress is progress there is no turning back now. |

Name one gun shoot incident that would have happened if the current laws were fully enforced. trace the gun path from manufacture thru distributor to the final sale and you will find at least one violation of law that would have broken the chain IN EVERY SINGLE CASE. The problem is police don't have the resourse to enforce the laws that are CURRENTLY ON THE BOOKS. Add a new law and you simple add more buracracy to the system, which will have no added effect because the policy don have the resources to enforce the laws that are CURRENTLY ON THE BOOKS. |

Wow, what a thread!!!

I think that when Bush let the assault weapons ban lapse, it was purely political. Just like the gay marriage amendment attempt. Just like all abortion discussions in politics, and flag burning, and on and on. All buzzwords for politics/elections.
In other words, if my neighbor wants to own an AK-47, MAKE him break a law to get it. Just like if a 10 year old wants a case of beer. Hey it happens, but why make it any easier? |
