Speaking for the UK it's acknoledged (even by the media) that we are pretty much a completely secular country.

And I wouldn't have it any other way...

Just get the Palestinians some decent weapons. Give them a chance to equip themselves (US funded - just like Israel) and the terrorism would stop instantly! Easy peasy. Understanding the theological issues makes sense to someone who is sitting in the west watching the situation from afar, but what does it matter to the average palestinian not to mention the average muslim around the world.

The fact that this war is about 2 groups of people who according to the Q'uran were once brothers who came from the same Father - Arbraham is also seen as now disturbing and not talked about.

The politics of Islam and the Theology of Islam are two ideas whose lack of backbone is allowing hundreds and thousands of innocent people to die each year.

No doubt the other side is just as guilty - but when an Isreali dies he knows why, when a Palestinian dies it is almost always because he is lied to and promised a paradise that will not exist for him.

I think that the best way to solve this problem is through the religious beliefs of both sides. Someone on the Muslim side has to stand up and say that it is against the will of God to kill innocent children - but what would happen to this person. Perhaps if enough Isrealis decided to somehow teach Arabic to the children on both sides of this conflict the true meaning of the Q'uran would star to be seen and heard - I dont think it will happen soon but it is an idea that must come into place.

After all how long can each side continue to produce generations of hatred.

Religion is the only thing you can give your people to ensure that their prime manner of thinking is subjective, and based on looking up to a king or dictator handing out answers. Labret is absatively posalutely correct in saying most cant comprehend what is going on both sides or the religious motivation behind their actions. Most Americans regret their Religion, they have no passion for their blessings, or most barely believe in the Earth they live from and the Energy that makes up our Life Force, they can't even believe in Energy enough to know that from Water and light things can and will grow, not only on this planet but others. How can someone who cant believe in Life understand Death, or dying for something bigger than their Double Wide and their Fifth. Few respect the air they breathe much less think about the values of a young man who truly believes he is about to die for what he believes right or wrong, its no different than your Air Force Values I guess, just these people dont just fight for their country, they fight for their god. Would you wage war for your god? Would you? I doubt it. The moral and theologian reasoning for events in our past are nothing but a scratch I would say to the damage we will see inflicted upon parties for whatever reason they see fit to destroy the other in the future. Not sure who, but I can only imagine the next people to be eradicated from this planet will not go in a nice way. Give them a chance to equip themselves (US funded - just like Israel) and the terrorism would stop instantly! Easy peasy. Missiles and tanks instead of suicide bombers. And I feel quite sure the Palestinians would take "great care" to avoid hitting civilians.
