find 3-5 word keyphrases to get on

instead of [penis enlargement]

try

[get a bigger penis]

just an example..

work your maxbid backwards... if you think the site will convert 1:100, and you earn $50 per sale.. $50/100 = $0.50 maxbid to break even.

if you need to at least make 10% on your money, you can bid ~45 cents.

yes, opt out of the class action suit so you can sue them later.

part of the settlement for the suit locks you into never being able to sue google again for anything relating to bad clicks.

from my experience a lot of pages never get adsense review.. i'm not sure what triggers it, but i do know what IPs they come from.. i don't have them handy right now, server they're on is down for maintenance.. icq me tomorrow and i'll get you a list of google editorial IPs, then you can find out for yourself.

s/email/icq, you did.. unfortunately it went down with about 20 minutes notice but we had it moved and back online pretty quickly (4 hours), but now there are some dns and routing issues (separately) so i couldn't get off an e-mail.

i did broadcast an icq to all the affils though, my apologies, i don't like relying on something unprofessional like icq for important business communications

0.01 technically, but depending on your account/campaign/adgroup/keyword historical performance, it will be adjusted from 0.01 to $10.00.

The basic version is this:

If your ads historically get a high CTR, it'll be cheaper.

But it's much, much more complex than that.

AdWords sends Googlebot out now to spider the landing page, and it evaluates it for relevancy and quality.

Want to see a fun test?

Try running an ad on [home depot], in a new campaign. you'll get a huge minimum bid, $1-5.

Now, try making that same ad, but use homedepot.com for the display url, and destination url.

Voila 5 cent clicks. Course, you're sending them to homedepot. But there are ways to capitalize on this bug.

Nah. Manual. Do the same thing 100+ times/day, it becomes like a twitch.

to answer the reasonable part of that though.. i develop my own conversion-optimized sites to capture leads, once i've struck a deal with someone to buy the leads for that niche.

a good one is vacation rentals.

[cityname vacation rental]

leads are worth $5-10, clicks cost 50 cents. my sites convert at 34% with a valid phone number.

are you able to make most campaigns you start profitable, or is it still very hit and miss with adwords?

do you make more revenue from mainstream or adult?

mainstream by far.. just because i don't focus much on adult, presumably

adwords is hit and miss, no doubt.. it is entirely possible for me to start a campaign that i know will 100% be profitable, but very low volume..

the tricky parts are being able to make high volume campaigns profitable.

this goes back to the earlier post in this thread i made about using 3-5 word keyphrases, instead of your one-worders.

i.e.

if you sold headlights, don't advertise on headlights. advertise on model numbers, and [honda accord headlights], etc.

the latter method will have much, much less volume.. but will probably convert 10x better.

this is a tricky question. i got in a war with google over not being able to exclude their shitty domain parking partners, and now they did something (i quote, "this is an exception, this is not our normal procedure") to my account to manually block them. so now, i leave the search network on.

the search network includes valuable traffic, like AOL, earthlink, etc. this is some of the highest converting consumer traffic on the web.

content network: go into campaign settings and enable content bidding. then content bid like 5-10 cents on your keywords.

keep in mind if these campaigns are adult, you'll not get any content impressions anyways. but search, you will.

interesting, i'm looking harder at some of the search network traffic. I've read that some people have complained about the lack of being able to block certain search partners and have had google acquiesce. Are there any search partners u really don't like? i've found oingo, and zapmeta to be sub-par.

google blocked oingo for me, and refunded all my clicks that came from them.. ended up being almost 2k
