What I don't understand is the no one is selling software -which is why this post was made in the first place.

Read from the beginning.

We were the first to create 2257 software back in August 2004 evidenced by several AVN and Xbiz articles. Yes it was server based and it was written for the proposed regulations.

Due to the final regulations, we hired mx to rewrite our existing program to comply with the new regulations, as they differed from the proposed. It was not server based, but rather downloadable to Windows, MacOS and Unix.

Mx left with our money, and despite an exclusive contract to build 2257 software has been selling and creating nonworkable, noncompliant program to others. Also, scamming them, Lenny included which is why he posted this in the first place.

GenX law is not selling software, and if we were it would be compliant - I do know the law, thank you.

Also, I have sent several customers that were waiting for our version to your Website - bc I could not help them. So before you attack us as being noncompliant, please get the facts straight. We are not the enemy here, but rather on the other side of a scam.

Newbreed......first of all, you're not an attorney, and everyone's business is different, so you can't say for sure whether anyone is or isn't compliant.

Now moving on.
We have had two prominent first amendment attorneys review our records and both have said that the online database alone is enough for compliance in our particular situation.
Our situation being that of a non disclosed secondary producer, which is 100% permissible according to the new regulations. (If you don't know what that is, talk to your attorney)

However, IF we were a primary producer or a disclosed secondary producer we could still be compliant with this software, because it does export the records to a local .csv file.
That csv file on a hard drive along with digital copies of model id's and copies of the depictions is a scheme that can be 100% compliant with the new regs.
It may not be as easy as some other solutions out there, but it can still work.

What we were trying to hire MX to do was make this easier by being able to export the online data to a local access database, where the copies of the IDs could be located inside the database so everything was nice, neat, and in one place.
Like I said before, we're still compliant, it's just more of a pain in the ass the way it's being done now.

Obviously you're just in here trying to spam your shit and scaring people into thinking they're going to go to jail if they don't have your software. And you're bashing Gen X law who has yet to sell one copy of this software. You should back the fuck off and peddle your shit elsewhere.

Alot of people are just using a spreadsheet and keeping digital copies of ID documents on CD or whatever.

You also don't HAVE to do it digitally. You could use index cards to keep track of everything, using the old library system where they kept track of books by Title, Author, and Subject, and everything was cross referenced, all on index cards without a single computer being involved.

Now I'm not saying anyone would WANT to do it that way, but it can be done without anyone's 2257 software.

D. GenX never sold any software. And since they contracted Mxdevelopment to write the software for them (and only them), they haven't pirated anything either.
