Also for the record, you don't NEED ANY software to be 2257 compliant.

Alot of people are just using a spreadsheet and keeping digital copies of ID documents on CD or whatever.

You also don't HAVE to do it digitally. You could use index cards to keep track of everything, using the old library system where they kept track of books by Title, Author, and Subject, and everything was cross referenced, all on index cards without a single computer being involved.

Now I'm not saying anyone would WANT to do it that way, but it can be done without anyone's 2257 software.
