Americans in general are trained early on that "thin is in" and that "overweight = disgusting." What we aren't taught is that the human body isn't made to be one size fits all. Some of us are built to be tiny, some of us are built to be large, and yes, even those of us who are fat can be healthy.

Most of the time, when we aren't seen as perfect, we simply aren't acceptable. Now this goes for men, too. Lots of times, we're not seen as people.

Now I'm a big girl, and yes I can stand to lose some weight. But I'm built on a large frame, and if I lose so much weight as to weigh what most people would think of as normal, I'd be too thin and would look horrible.

What needs more realization, IMHO, is that no matter what shape, size, age, or ethnicity, we are all human beings, and as such, are all sexual beings. All of us need love, homes, health, and a good fuck.

Hear, hear!

What's the perfect look this month, again? I can never keep track.

Got it. I would think maybe just a couple of areas: The daily post and then a b.s. area?

Nightwind 06-25-2005 11:50 AM

Added a 2 categories now, you can go ahead and register if it is what we will use. I can make it visible only to the people in the project if needed later.

Tala 06-25-2005 11:54 AM

Got it.

Want some help in designing a skin for that thing? Maybe have some smilies?

Nightwind 06-25-2005 11:56 AM

There are a bunch of skins to choose from on the phpbb2 site, there is also a nice bunch of skins already built in it. You can see a list of them here: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/catdb.php?db=2

mrthumbs 06-25-2005 12:10 PM

very typical.. 3 days from now this 'project' has died..

Nice. I would like to see this move private just to keep on topic. I want to spend my time learning things that are going to help my business not learning about who's disgruntled with whom.

I really doubt 2HP is like that from what i've read in his previous posts, i just suspect he is a very busy man and doesn't necessarily have time to spam GFY as much as some people here.

Considering that he tends to be a night owl, he's probably still sleeping. Let the guy sleep.

Drake 06-25-2005 01:46 PM

How much money do you think the top impoverished webmaster will make the 60 day period?

I'm not impoverished, but I'd love to hear what you have to say. Maybe someday I'll build some sites if I decide on a change of pace from what I'm doing now. :upsidedow

Actually, I've been busy answering e-mails, and otherwise WORKING to make good on the commitment I've undertaken -- :winkwink:

Thanks for the bump, though.

marketsmart 06-25-2005 03:48 PM

I was on the hosting side of the business for many years. I am now doing primarily mainstream, but wanted to give this a shot.

So, I build some sites and sign up for some programs (the easy part) then what?

UPDATE:

Thank you again for the staggering volume of responses. I have been answering your emails diligently all day, and apologize to anyone who has not received a reply yet. You will soon. I am reading your e-mails carefully, visiting your sites and trying to offer some basic counsel, based on what I see.

I'm putting together some resources and pages intended to allow all who've responded to have some exposure, to "meet" each other and to become acquainted with each other's "offerings".

I have also been speaking to a number of people in the industry whose work I admire, and whose success at what they do is self-evident. You can look forward to their contributions over the next few days.

Tonight's subject of discussion will be Site Design Principles -- covering architecture and visual design for several basic site types. Here's a bit about my background on the subject -- X

See you all later,

I was working for IBM at the time -- early 1998 -- on the Java software marketing team. IBM was holding its annual briefing for the Latin American press in Venezuela that year -- Lima was cancelled as the original location, for reasons of political instability.

I was the only person on the team who speaks Spanish, so I got to go -- :) -- I remember the location was a resort on the coast about 45 minutes by small plane from Caracas -- but can't remember the name...
