Canadians dealing with CCBill bullshit..........

I've looked in to incorporating in delaware to be able to sign up with ccbill.. but after talking to a ccbill rep on icq... even he cant tell me if that will be enough to be able to sign up with ccbill.... now is there any other processor i could use? or anyone know how to go about incorporating in the US and using CCBill ? since they need SSN and DRIVERS LICENCE and PASSPORT... i doubt the delaware company for incorporating will supply that information ... so can anyone help? i'm getting really fucking frusterated... this is such a bitch...

any other processor i could use? or can anyone give me some suggestions on what to do. or who to talk ot?

You could try talking to CCBill.

You shouldn't have a problem. We're primarily a Canadian venture but our US subsidiary has a CCBill IPSP account.

Depending on how you structure your organization, you might end up being liable for US Federal Corporate Income Tax, Delaware Corporate Income Tax (on revenue from sales to people in Delware), and GST/PST your Canadian sales.

Options:
- find a business partner in the US who will act as your principal (keep in mind, this person has control over your CCBill account & your domains since his name is the one Visa is looking at)
- try to get a merchant account
- incorporate in EU (you may run into the principal problem again, but for the time being, the rules are more lax than in the US)
- go premium AVS
- find an existing company that wants to take on your sites for some kind of revenue split (lots of companies took on smaller sites when the Visa fees started up)
- accept MC, checks, dialer, phone & snail mail payments until you can find a Visa solution

I dont see what th ebig deal is. There already are free trade scripts, free tgp scripts and free hosted galleries that all the tgp'ers have used one time or another already. I think people are just scared of competition. remember when you were the little guy who worked hard to become big? Why is it not ok for today's little guy to do the same?

Also, what's the difference between people using free tools or people who don't use tools at all? Remember when TGPs never had trade scripts or submission scripts? hell, some still exist and are doing really well. Any idiot can start a scriptless site and with enough work becomme established.

I'd really like to see the rule where only established sites can do biz and the little guys starting out shouldn't exist.

Try calling CCBill's sales department. I know atleast one of their reps, Sean Eggert, has dealt with this before. He should be able to tell you what documents you will need.

If I recall correctly, all you need are articles of incorporation for a US company, a federal tax id, and the passport of the principal (and possibly the officers) of the company. Unless they've changed their policy the principal does not have to be a US citizen/resident.

I wouldn't expect them to know about "companies that incorporate for you".

Stop bashing CCBILL

I've been fucked over by 3 billing companies (probilling, IBILL, merchant account) since starting business in 98

CCBILL is still sendiing me checks every week

You should kiss their ass - CCBILL is the best - good luck staying in business without them

It's not the US' fault nor Ccbill's. If you must lay blame, then blame Visa's policies (fruitless) or the collusion of Canadian banks. An entire industry has been wiped out in Canada because of the banking industry's refusal to touch adult. Write your mp, or find a vocal and ambitious reporter. This is the only way that the situation will change.
In the meantime, follow Kcat's suggestions. It's not fun, nor fair, but if you want to be in the paysite business bad enough, you will do whatever needs to be done, as we have....

The nominee director has to present his passporte and sign the papers for the ccbill account. Cant he just run away with your ccbill account and take all your rebills legally?

yes of course - that's the risk you take using somebody. hiring a lawyer to be your director is probably the best bet since he would be disbarred if he took advantage. though there are plenty of lawyers, accountants and managers who see enough money and go bad.

- go premium AVS
- find an existing company that wants to take on your sites for some kind of revenue split (lots of companies took on smaller sites when the Visa fees started up)
- accept MC, checks, dialer, phone & snail mail payments until you can find a Visa solution
the above is a perfect post. these are the only ways for canadians to use US ccbill or paycom.

does anyone know of any companies / business associates that are actually interested in being prinicipals for a sum of course?

Sorry for asking a silly question but , what is the Main Issue with Canadian Web-Masters/Site-Owners and U.S. 3PP'S and U.S. Credit card transactions?????
SONOFSAM Asked an interesting question regarding a possible U.S. Partner being the forward with a U.S. 3PP in order to allow a canadian w/masters to processes c/cards and doing this for a fee.....
What would it take to make this happen????
Feel free to contact me at : [email protected]
Maybe i can help......
I would appreciate any suggestions from the rest of you guys.
Also, Ben Z @ WTS is an awsome professional, great when it comes to client service and follow-up. WTS is a great company...

I can help you....
Free service,
I am a former 3pp sales director. I am currently researching the best 3pp's and merchant banks. Reputation , Pay-Out Consistancy and Client Service. In light of the past 1 1/2 years of 3pp's going under and taking your hard earned $ with them, i strongly suggest that you conact me. I can get you , at least , 1% discount on your current fee/rate. I dont want you to give up your current 3pp , i simply want you to diversify your risk. This is a Free service. cc,checks,etc...
