No, it's not ridiculous, you don't understand. What I'm saying, and have been arguing this entire time, is to simply ignore them. Not shut down the entire media. While the past is important to note, it's completely irrelevant to this discussion. The internet, television, and radio isn't going anywhere. Technology is not going to go backwards, save a nuclear war. A joint effort to get the world's media to cooperate (ooh, a conservative using a liberal word!) to simply ignore all terrorist efforts. While this is a hard thing to enforce, since someone has to step up, it's still possible. Do I think it will work? Not in this lifetime. The whole reason of this post was to just provide a point of view, I wasn't trying to convert any of you. I simply thought of an idea and decided to see what people thought about it.

I had a really radical idea. What if we nuked Israel? That would surely solve the conflict between the Jews and Palestinians over that land. It would be uninhabitable for decades to come so no more fighting over it. In addition, it would scare the crap out of the countries in the neighborhood. Note that our militaries would still be acting just as strong to kill them off; I only suggest cutting them off completely from a media standpoint.

Both Kerry and Bush believe strongly that terrorism will always be constant, that new terrorists will regroup and keep coming to replace the old ones. I whole-heartedly agree with both of them. What my argument does though, is provide a hope, at least in my mind, that terrorism can be defeated.

An argument isn't an argument unless you talk about the downfalls, however. This path would be extremely hard, especially at the start. Terrorism levels would probably PEAK as soon as they realized what our strategy was. I predict that peak because they'd basically be fighting for their own existence; since they feed of our media. If and when Al Jazeera becomes part of the ComCast basic cable package, I think this has a chance at working.

Hopefully this will get a good discussion going, and try to leave out the bipartisan shit; keep this thing focused.

Don't you think this is what we as U.S. citizens want? I don't want to see terrorism on TV. Neither does the majority of people out there. We are FORCE FED this crap because of higher agendas focused on creating a Nation of Fear. Try airing a "Big Tobacco" smearing campaign using facts about smoking. I virtually guarantee you that you will not find 1 major network who will carry the show... .Why? Because "Big Tobacco" is one of their largest sponsors. They are paid to NOT air stuff like that.

Terrorism and war is BIG BUSINESS. Billions of dollars are made when we go to war. Yeah, sure.... some people die... But does that matter when the rich can line their pockets 10 fold?

The majority of the United States wants KERRY to win the election.... Do you think this is going to happen? (I seriously doubt it).

Our country has become something more disgusting than any terrorist group. It has become a mecca for "backroom" agendas on a Global front who's main purpose is greed and world domination. If you "fear" terrorist groups and want them to STOP.... Impeach Bush if he is elected "Again" against his country's wishes.

George Bush is now responsible for killing more innocent people that Saddam did, The Iraqi's living conditions are now worse, education is worse, and health care is worse. Thousands of people are being held captive with no trials or access to defence. Maybe the Iraqi's are a bunch of crazy fucks and the only way they could be controlled was by running the country like Saddam did ? Less people died under his leadership and the country was not in a state of civil war like it now is.
Meanwhile a million a year are dying in Sudan and no one gives a fuck.
When America has to pay there dues and they will, the American economy will collapse, I would expect future Iraqi leaders to see multi trillion dollar compensation claims, what a nice future America is making for there children.

Show me ONE pic or video that depicts "Saddam" killing anyone. For the most part, all I ever see is "masked" people threatening to kill, or the "aftermath" of an execution.

The ONLY reason for the U.S. being in in Iraq is for OIL. That's IT. There are other advantages that are had by being there also, but the main reason was OIL. As well, we circumvented a trade between France and Iraq as well as Russia and Iraq. It was an arms trade in exchange for the promise of oil. With us throwing a monkey wrench into those deals, we now control the oil they were to receive.
