Terrorism lives through the media: TV cameras, newspapers, and the Internet. A terrorist's main objectives all circle around one central theme, which is getting their political message out to the public. Think of it this way, in America, how does an average joe schmoe get his ass in the news? The reality is that it's nearly impossible; news stations want the juiciest, dirtiest, most moving, and most shocking material they can get their hands on. Joe Schmoe can't provide that. Terrorism can, on the other hand. This brings me to my final point.
Since the blood of terrorism flows through the media of it's host, could we, as the targets, simply ignore them entirely? Theoretically it would confuse the fuck out of them; they wouldn't know what to do. If we, from a media standpoint, worked together so that all our media outlets, Fox News, CNN, BBC, etc, refused to air or even speak of any act of terrorism, wouldn't that stop it altogether? Note that our militaries would still be acting just as strong to kill them off; I only suggest cutting them off completely from a media standpoint.
Both Kerry and Bush believe strongly that terrorism will always be constant, that new terrorists will regroup and keep coming to replace the old ones. I whole-heartedly agree with both of them. What my argument does though, is provide a hope, at least in my mind, that terrorism can be defeated.
An argument isn't an argument unless you talk about the downfalls, however. This path would be extremely hard, especially at the start. Terrorism levels would probably PEAK as soon as they realized what our strategy was. I predict that peak because they'd basically be fighting for their own existence; since they feed of our media. If and when Al Jazeera becomes part of the ComCast basic cable package, I think this has a chance at working.
Hopefully this will get a good discussion going, and try to leave out the bipartisan shit; keep this thing focused.

Don't you think this is what we as U.S. citizens want? I don't want to see terrorism on TV. Neither does the majority of people out there. We are FORCE FED this crap because of higher agendas focused on creating a Nation of Fear. Try airing a "Big Tobacco" smearing campaign using facts about smoking. I virtually guarantee you that you will not find 1 major network who will carry the show... .Why? Because "Big Tobacco" is one of their largest sponsors. They are paid to NOT air stuff like that.
Terrorism and war is BIG BUSINESS. Billions of dollars are made when we go to war. Yeah, sure.... some people die... But does that matter when the rich can line their pockets 10 fold?
The majority of the United States wants KERRY to win the election.... Do you think this is going to happen? (I seriously doubt it).
Our country has become something more disgusting than any terrorist group. It has become a mecca for "backroom" agendas on a Global front who's main purpose is greed and world domination. If you "fear" terrorist groups and want them to STOP.... Impeach Bush if he is elected "Again" against his country's wishes.
