I don't know the facts behind each party, but I would like to ask this. Amp, what would you like as compensation and what did Brad offer?

its looks like as long as the designs were never used or online, Amp went along with that. Once they were put into use he became very concerned and quite rightly so.

I guess this shit explains why my designer follows me to the ATM whenever he hands me an invoice.

Bottom line is, they are his designs and he was not paid for them. |

Because nobody seems to quite have the proper chain of events, here is the short course.
Some guy named Duane/Pensfan screwed a lot of people. I never knew he existed. At some point I was dealing with Traci at LiquidbyDesign and bought some banners. Conversations with her led to me buying an 'unlaunched' program site and all of it's associated paysites. I was just told that they were a result of a failed partnership, I had no reason to doubt that at the time. Well, I got duped. After sending them money for the designs and domains I found out months later that the whole premise under which I made the purchase was quite a bit of lying. They weren't Traci's sites to sell, she was working on behalf of this other person. They weren't simply sites that weren't launched, they were sites that weren't launched with disputes and unpaid bills all around them. Everything about the Pensfan ended up getting sorted out here on GFY. Concurrently, I did a public search here on GFY to try to find any other artists that might have contributed to the designs so that I could personally try to make ammends with them if their bill was left unpaid. I was able to find a few, including Amp, and everyone's response to me that the bill was Pensfan's and not mine even though I offered to make things right. As far as I could tell I resolved any concerns about the website designs. They sat out of commerce for about a year since the time I bought them and this week they finally got launched. As far as I knew, this issue was put to rest a long, long time ago. I'm just in shock, I can't believe this thread even exists. Everything I've always done has been above board and SinBucks is no exception. Amp, if you feel that I owe you money because Duane didn't pay you then for christ's sake I would have thought that with all of our friendly conversations in the past that you would have had the sense to discuss this with me. I already offered once a long time ago. I know I had ICQ transcripts from it but a long time ago you moved to a new ICQ number. I thought that we were friends, that there was a level of trust and respect between us, and you're hanging me out to dry for a crime that someone else committed. Brad |

You should have dumped the sites when you found out they were dirty.
You KNEW this was a problem. You assessed the risk. You chose to launch. Sleep in the bed you make. |

This whole thing reminds me of Acacia.
"I'll wait until you start making money with it, THEN i'll throw a fit and demand my money." In the thread referenced, Brad listed off all of the sites/designs he had purchased and asked the designers of those sites to step forward so he could pay them. If Amp wanted his money, right there was the opportunity to get it. Now nearly a year later Amp is crying foul? Better yet, Amp is having Lensman cry foul rather than doing it himself? :ugone2far |
