to be fair here, Brad didn't gank me (gank.... my new favorite word for the night) directly. Duane Hansen did. Brad bought these sites and members areas from Duane aka "pensfan" aka "BuckNaked", at a rock bottom price, since Duane was in "haul my scammin' worthless ass outta here" mode. And Duane got the profit and ran. I saw fuckall.

But to also be fair on my end, I did a whole lotta work for nothing. Granted, if you're buying something, you would expect the seller to have the right to sell it.... but that's not always the case, and it's wise to be prudent in your research prior to sending someone a check for something they don't own.

Without all the facts, you are deserved compensation, I was just wondering why Duane wasn't approached about this. Unless Brad was knowingly purchasing an entire program. Buying stolen merchandise is still a crime, but so its selling it, just wondering why the seller isn't being hounded, unless of course he is also.

That?s what I thought. I guess if Brad bought it unknowingly this could perhaps be resolved somehow amicably as he wasn't directly trying to rip someone off, but if he had prior knowledge then that?s obviously more serious and incriminating.

Brad, did you not know Amp designed these? His work kinda stands out and, by your own admission, you knew you were buying from a known thief (hence the post).

Why would you ask that if you didn't know the designs were stolen? It's not a get out of jail free card.

No man read MY post in there and my subsequent posts on the following two pages. I don't know what you're smoking tonight but we talked about this stuff way back then when I was trying to search out all the artists after I found out the stuff I bought was from a con-artist who didn't pay all of his designers.

Lensman, you think I chose to do business with a known thief? Christ man, I bought that stuff in August of 2002 and didn't find out until months later that the guy was a con and that I got scammed. After which, I did the right thing and sought out designers here on GFY.

Well there is the obvious culprit. The rest of it is murky, I would just say not to use the designs but if Brad did pay money for them, then its a bit different. Just another reason why you have to be careful with whom you do business.

If you did the right thing, what did you pay Amp for the designs?
