*admits to cheating for this one*

He died in a plane crash. "Dick" is a professional skywriter. While writing a letter, his plane was hit by lighting

Tala 08-13-2003 11:22 PM

Hmmm...if he was sitting by an open window, someone could have shot him, the sound of which would be masked by the thunder.

Some guy enters in a restaurant, order some albatros, take a bite at his meal and kills himself right after...why!
(If anyone gets this one without cheating, he's lying...! LOL)

Project-Shadow 08-13-2003 11:23 PM

How many times can you subtract $5 from $25?

freeadultcontent 08-13-2003 11:24 PM

Two boats are of equal size and strength. One is made of wood and the other of steel. Explain which one weighs more.

You wouldn't make a boat that wasn't water resistant unless you were trapped in the 18th century or something...boats were sealed with pitch because it repels water.

However, wood would be heavier because it takes more of it to displace the same amount of water that a steel hull displaces, which is how boats float.

My answer still stands. It takes more wood to make it as strong as a steel boat.

close enough. yeah steel is stronger than wood, you would require a shit load more wood to make it of equal strength.

"Answering SteelTab"
--------------------
While travelling at sea, the man (who was a police officer) and the wife were shipwrecked on a deserted island. The man and his wife and a couple of other survivors decided to pair up and hunt for food. While the man and his wife were searching, the wife was attacked by a vicious animal and torn apart from limb to limb. If only he hadn't lost his gun in the ocean, he could have saved her. He returned to camp distrought at the loss of his wife, and waited for the others to return. When the others returned, they were excited because they had found an albatross. They cooked it up and convinced the man to eat enough to keep him alive. To his surprise, he really enjoyed the albatross. The survivors were rescued soon after. Months later the man, having a sudden craving for albatross, went to a restraunt and ordered up a plate. When he took a bite, it did not taste the same. A horrible revelation crept over him. Realizing the albatross on the island was not an albatross, but his dismembered wife, he could not go on living. He then proceeded to pull the gun from his pocket and shot himself in the head.

I'd say fishing boats are not made of steel but im probably wrong, but overall wood is lighter than steel. Which is why you don't see boats made out of steel.. [probably completely wrong]

I switched words to slow down googlers.

Normally it is ship.

Here's the exact version (word to word)

A man sits down at a restaurant and orders a plate of Albatross (a large seagull). After tasting it, he proceeds to pull a gun out of his pocket and shoot himself in the head.

Since pound for pound steel is so much stronger than wood, the ship made of wood would require a great deal of more material for it to be of equal strength.
