2 inch cedar plank - smother it in olive oil - heat it on a BBQ-cook fish for 10 mins/inch - do not flip - add lemon juice while cooking and tiny bit of salt.

cedar plank samon

If its fresh salmon -just put some lemon pepper on it, sprinkle it with a little lemon juice, wrap it in tin foil and put it on the BBQ. That the way I love it. If you don't want to put it in the bbq just put it in the oven. Make sure the tinfoil is sealed up good and don't over cook it.

Actually, to elaborate on this.. STUFF the salmon with slices of lemon, slabs of butter and some fresh (or dried if you have it) dill.. it's INCREDIBLE. But make sure the cedar planks are UNTREATED... treated ones can make you sick.

Then try this.. do essentially the same thing.. put the salmon in some tin foil (make sure you spray it or something so it doesn't stick). Stuff or put lemon slives on top.. some butter or olive oil, some dill if you have it.. then make a pouch of the tin foil and cook it in the oven ... When you take it out and open the pouch, the salmon should be perfectly steamed and juicy

Exactly! Simple and good...

only thing you could add would be some basic seasoning, then sear the fish in a pan with olive oil real hot and fast to crisp up the outside before shoving it into the oven to cook up nice.

It's absolutely amazing served with just a nice rice (when cooking the rice use a good chicken stock instead of water, or use half stock half water), and some fresh blanched vegetables. To properly blanch veggies, clean and cut them, get the water to boiling, and drop in the veggies for 30 seconds to a minute.. Properly blanched veggies should NOT be soft and mushy, but crisp although warmed through (cooking veggies too long removes nutrients anyways, this is the best way to eat them), and top them with some butter, or olive oil and some Mrs. Dash

If it is a fillet and you not have a BBQ.

Put on cookie sheet with parchment paper (not wax paper)

sprinkle on kosher sale, grind on black pepper, squeeze on lemon juice.

Broil until it is golden brown on top and done internally. About 6 inches below broiler or flame.

Put it on aluminum foil skin side down. Sprinkle with a small amount of garlic powder and a little dill if you like dill. Put very thinly sliced onions and lemons on top. Dot generously with butter. Pour about 1/2 cup white wine around fish. Seal foil well and put into a baking dish. Bake at 350 for about 15-20 minutes. Remove lemon slices and onion slices and serve immediately.

This sounds delicious too! However you'd have to be careful what kind of wine you used because some wines would overpower the delicate flavor of the fish. Man I'm gonna try this one though.

FUCK the oven if you got access to a BBQ.

RUN to the store and buy Sesame Ginger w/ Mandarin Orange Juice Marinade.

SLAP the salmon on the BBQ and pour that marinade on the salmon each time you turn it over (or soak the salmon in that shit for an hour if you got time)

GRILL it but dont incinerate that shit.... I like mine with that BBQ 'crisp' crunch.

POUR a little more marinade on it after your done, and

ENJOY

Yes, it's definately got to be a very mild, very dry white wine.
