I believe he will be convicted, but most everyone thought Michael Jackson would be convicted as well. That doesnt change the fact that he hasnt been convicted yet. That's what the trial is for. |

No way this goes to trial, if they are already offering 3.5 years, I think we will see him serve less than 2 years. Should be back at the pulpit in 2017..

I am receiving news reports that Donnie pleaded no contest today....

Pauling pleads no contest in sex case, faces 6 years in prison - Appeal-Democrat: News |
Yeah, seems so.....
Donny Pauling Jr. pleaded no contest Thursday to four felony sex charges involving two minors, a plea deal that will send him to state prison for six years. The plea marked the end to a dizzying saga of sex crime charges that also implicated the former commander of the Sutter County Jail. Pauling, 41, acting as his own attorney, admitted to oral copulation and having sexual intercourse with a victim 14 years old in 2012, continuing into 2014. He also admitted to lewd or lascivious behavior with a girl related to former Sutter County sheriff's Capt. Lewis McElfresh, "motivated by an unnatural or abnormal interest in children," according to the plea. The facts of the plea also stated McElfresh masturbated while watching Pauling commit sex acts with that girl, who was then 16 years old. Furthermore, Pauling pleaded to a misdemeanor charge of massaging a third victim's genitals in early 2014. That victim was 16 years old at the time. |

"Pauling's plea did not include any stipulations to testify in McElfresh's trial, although that doesn't mean Pauling won't testify, Chopra said." I really doubt that.

Due to his reconversion into Christianity, he began second-guessing his career in pornography. He was offered a new, very lucrative contract by Playboy. At first he intended to accept the offer, believing that his Christian faith and a porn career were compatible. However, after what he claims to be an intervention by God, he decided that he could no longer stay in the industry.
“Two weeks after I stopped producing porn was when I actually surrendered my life to God,” Pauling recalls. “So that’s exactly what I did. I had that prayer right in my car. And I surrendered my life to Him, I asked Him to take control, I asked Him to forgive me of everything I’d done. It didn’t mean it was easy though. It’s not like I surrendered my life to God and everything turned rosy. I was at peace, the most peace I’d ever had in my life. But I was also in a hugely painful emotional state. But it was so peaceful at the same time. It felt kind of like detox.” Soon after he partially reconciled with his wife, although they remain divorced. Quitting the industry, he suddenly had much less income. However the family received large donations from various Christian charities and Pauling has stated that all his hatred of Christianity melted then. He has lamented at the number of women he had previously recruited or worked with who have since contacted him depicting their regret and shame at having done porn. |

I wonder if he can post here from jail?

Most people may think that Donny Pauling is a hypocrite.
The devout Christians might think he is a poor victim of the "devil". Psychologists and psychiatrists are probably thinking that he suffers from personality disorders. His behavior, his many flip-flops, his constant need for attention, his mood swings are not those of a person with a normal psychological balance. I do not like at all the Puritans and I never liked Donny Pauling but I think the best place for people like him is perhaps the psychiatric hospital more than the prison. |

Branded a chomo for life. The sentence seems light, could be out in 3 years. He'll write a book of course and no matter how fucked up you are and what evil you've committed Christian fundamentalists will welcome him back with their retarded interpretation of Christianity.

THAT WOULD BE EQUATING PEDOPHILIA WITH BEING IN THE PORN BUSINESS. One is sociopathic behavior and the other is a legitimate business endeavor. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't read the volumes on this story, but the guy wasn't a child pornographer, so his having been in the porn biz has nothing to do with his sick crimes. Hate the guy for being a condescending religious zealot who's also an attention whore as well as a soon-to-be convicted child rapist. So from that point of view I can see the "hypocritical" aspect - preaching against evil and being evil yourself. But let's keep the word pedophile and pornographer well apart. |

Even worse, he got paid to speak about how evil the porn industry is. |

I agree with you that he probably has comorbid personality disorders. But in my mind, those are not mitigating factors. |

What a mess. One tiny part of me wants me to feel bad for him but then I remember his righteous speeches and that part changes its mind.
Anyone got his address. I would like to write him a letter and become a pen pal. |

He was a pompous prick that looked down his nose at pretty much anyone unless they were kissing his ass. He did that while being involved with porn and then being involved with the "church," meanwhile taking sexual advantage of vulnerable young teenage girls from a position of righteous authority. |
This blows. I really wanted to attend the trial. I pictured it being like the last episode of Seinfeld with a motley crew of GFYers descending upon a small town.

A courtroom full of pimps, bikers, thieves, stoners, Canadians, whores, Serbs in strait-jackets, every other person asking which side of the courtroom the grooms friends should sit, CS shitting himself in a corner, Eddy hitting on a bailiff ... no wonder they wanted to settle. |

1) Most US states and Canadian provinces prohibit internet access to prisoners. Nevertheless, it happened that smart phones were (illegally) found in prisons and that prisoners were able to communicate via the Internet despite the regulation. 2) But several US states allow internet access to detainees: Some prisons let inmates connect with tablets Proponents say allowing inmates to use tablets will help reintegrate them into society and keep them from returning to jail. Ohio became the latest state last month to allow inmates to purchase and use mini-tablet computers while incarcerated — a controversial move intended to better connect those in jail with their families and friends on the outside. At least six other states, including North Dakota and Georgia, permit the practice, which proponents say will deepen prisoners' ties to their communities and keep them in sync with modern technology. Kimberly Railey, USA Today, August 18, 2013 3) Even if a State allows access to the internet (for inmates), it will not allow access to all types of websites... 4) What is the probability that Donny Pauling come again on this board while in jail? ;) |

You should write him, make them open letters to all of us for reading. Make sure you attempt to send the thread after the letters were posted, that way he gets some gratification and comes up with more pages to explain how this is all a misunderstanding. He will be in a different jail it sounds like so maybe they'll let it pass the first time like they did for me. I'm done with my correspondence with Donny, got tired of somehow stupid dummies on here associated circumstances with me being pals with him. Unlike him I'm innocent. Never ever do I do bad things, I'm an Angel. :frenchman |

Being put in with other bad criminals makes things worse. As far as change goes, can a person change? Somewhat. Whenever someone asks that question I phrase it by saying "what happens when you go to the gym several times a week for long durations with a plan?" Change happens, significant change, throw in diet etc. Some respond better to training more than others. In regards to charging people as sexual predators it's effective. I had someone in a college course that was always so damn quiet, it was weird, nice guy though. He never liked to talk to people because he was under house arrest and talking would result in them finding out that he may have been caught illegal porn. Apparently he had depictions of a high school girl on his computer in the police report. Happen all the time now with kids and snapchat, my niece is wild and I think she got in some trouble with snapchat. I read later that he violated his probation by watching a regular porn flick (they had the title and everything and it was rather tame). Being labeled a sex predator is a life sentence, everytime you meet someone new you wonder if/when they'll find out and you'll always be able to tell when they do. The unfortunate thing to is like a felony, it doesn't matter how severe it is, it's all the same thing to the mind of the average person. |
I wonder what his mom and all his Christian friends that were defending him on facebook have to say now?
