As if 13 young girls (as young as 13) are actually going to be able to conspire together, all tell perfect stories to a prosecutor who's lifes work is to detect bullshit, not have any proof whatsoever they were raped (forensic evidence, the abortions, other evidence) and not get caught in a lie through the course of all of this etc etc etc. Oh, and of course there is the fact that he already plead guilty to a number of charges... and his friends and family think he's a serial liar.

I just got news that baddog saw his post, and then rallied about 6 or 7 senile patch lickers to take him out. Word has it they had some obscure craft beer at a local bar, and then set out to carry out his murder. In fact, there is no new news and I don't expect to have any for some time. To the best of my knowledge they are planning on going to trial, and Donny is preparing his defense. Donny and his family does not have the money to bail him out, so he will remain in jail until the trial.

I feel sorry for Donny - He has zero chance of defending himself against these charges.

He has an attorney, so he has a chance. If you're saying he's guilty, and without a ton of money he won't get out of it with a great attorney, then I can understand that.

Donny had two "pre-trial conferences" in the past week or so. This was just just posted to a local news paper....

Immediately after Donny Pauling had sex with a 16-year-old girl, he threatened to post nude photos of her online, kill her boyfriend and hurt her family if she told anyone, a sheriff's detective testified Tuesday.

The girl later allegedly told Lewis McElfresh, then-Sutter County sheriff's captain, she wanted to have sex with Pauling. McElfresh then watched the two have sex as he masturbated, an officer testified.

Pauling, a former anti-pornography advocate, is accused of unlawful sex with two teen girls and illegal sex acts with another. Sutter County Superior Court Judge Brian Aronson heard testimony for two of the cases from law enforcement officers who participated in or viewed interviews with the minors involved.

After evidence was submitted, Aronson ordered a trial for Pauling on nine felony counts and three misdemeanors — all but one charge requested by Deputy District Attorney Anu Chopra. A trial was previously ordered in the third felony sex case.

Defense attorney Roberto Marquez questioned the credibility of the alleged victims and drew the judge's attention to a statement made by the girl involved in the accusations involving both Pauling and McElfresh.

She told officers interviewing her she lied about the allegations.
The girl said she wished she had never reported the abuse because it has changed her life, according to an officer.

The officer said the disclosure of sexual abuse is a process.
Testimony detailed the way Pauling approached the girls, who were friends with his minor relative, with whom he is also accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship.

During separate interviews, the girls told officers of Pauling's actions, which included nude massages. One girl said she attended class at Yuba College with Pauling, he drove her home, and while they were studying together, he gave her root beer that made her feel weak and dizzy.

She alleged he took off her clothes and had sex with her, told her he took nude photos of her and threatened her.

She reported he had sex with her three more times.
Pauling is scheduled to return to court May 29 to set trial dates and to review bail. Chopra said, to date, the judge has no bail set for Pauling in two cases. He remains in custody at the Colusa County Jail.

McElfresh has pleaded not guilty to felony charges for his alleged role in one of the incidents and is due back in court June 8.

I'm not sure if he has an attorney or if he is using a public defender. The attorney he was using is a small time attorney, the kind that usually does DUIs and traffic tickets. He seemed woefully unqualified to be defending Donny in such an important case.

Donny Pauling Jr. ? the pornographer turned pastor accused of having sex with underage girls ? attempted to indirectly coerce an alleged victim into not testifying, a Sutter County prosecutor said Friday.

Evidence was discussed during a Sutter County Superior Court hearing to set a bail amount for Pauling in three separate sex-related cases.

Judge Brian Aronson said Pauling is "not understanding boundaries very well," and set total bail at $1,025,000.

Defense attorney Roberto Marquez said he and Pauling have a right to call the alleged victims liars. Aronson agreed Marquez has that right, and the motivation to do so is clear. But the judge questioned Pauling's motivation for sending a letter from jail to a teenage friend of one of the victims.

Deputy District Attorney Anu Chopra said she received a copy of the seven-page letter written by Pauling that described how the alleged victim could "make this all go away" by invoking Marsy's law, which, in part, protects victims from being penalized by the courts for refusing to testify.

He also wrote the alleged victim wouldn't have to admit she was lying, according to Chopra.

"I don't think Pauling has let go of his belief that he can intimidate his way out of these cases," Aronson said.

Marquez has said he believes all three of the alleged victims are lying.
"My experience shows, as a defense attorney and a prosecutor, that teen girls are willing and able to fabricate allegations. They make horrible witnesses because they are not smart enough to present their lies as truth," Marquez said.

District Attorney Amanda Hopper responded, "Sexual assault cases by their very sensitive and traumatic nature are examined very closely before any filing decisions are made. That includes looking at the veracity of any witness or victims as well as finding corroboration for their statements. My office has not taken this case or the filing decision lightly."

Marquez said Pauling had no inappropriate sexual relationship with any of the alleged victims.

"I believe once these alleged victims come to testify, I don't believe their allegations are going to be substantiated," Marquez said.

Pauling is scheduled to return to court from Colusa County Jail to set a jury trial on June 8.

Typical Donny, he has a lawyer, albeit probably a shitty one, but Donny of course knows more than him and everybody else.

The lawyer is correct here, the best and only chance Donny has of walking free is getting those girls on the witness stand and showing them to be less than credible - and that wouldn't be hard for any decent criminal attorney IF the girls have told the police some lies or stretched the truth. Donny's brilliant strategy is to have them refuse to testify. Which makes me think that he knows their stories are close to the truth of what went down.

If it was just Donny's word against these two girls then this would be a pretty good case for a good criminal attorney - beyond a reasonable doubt is a heavy burden for the prosecution.

BUT there's this McElfresh guy who's also been charged, who allegedly watched Donny fuck his own daughter.
