Dear Gold Bars,

Per your request, we refunded your $500 and have continued to payout your account as scheduled. You notified your Sales Director that you would be removing SegPay from your cascade. From a risk perspective we do not keep inactive accounts open. You had 5 rebills remaining at the time of account closure, is this what you have an issue with? We can transfer those 5 members to a PCI compliant third party if you wish.

Yikes! Big mistake.

First, like everyone else here, Segpay is a really respected biller. Cathy and her whole team go out of their way to help their clients. Trying to trash them in a public forum by calling them a scam makes you look bad, not them.

Besides that, you should not cancel your Mastercard service. Even if your Mastercard sales are low, you need to make it as easy as possible for your customers to spend money, not harder. You already have at least 2 billing processors in a cascade for this very reason.

If I were you I'd offer up an apology to Segpay and get back to work increasing your sales.

Segpay seems to have a Coral Springs, FL address in the U.S. Sometimes bringing things to the attention of local authorities can bring surprising results when there is a porn connection. Especially in Florida.

For the .htpasswd I think you can change that yourself. They might not want to touch it after they terminated your account since they presumably don't own the server and they severed business relationships/contracts.

Anyway you would think it would be smarter for them to reasonably work with you even though you aren't a "bro". It's never smart to piss someone off no matter how big they are.

I don't know why you or anyone would think its wrong to call people out when they feel they are being wronged. Ass-kissing is not the only way to get results.

This new Mastercard fee is pure bullshit and I for one think its wonderful that people are opting out. I started using my own merchant accounts through Netbilling a few years back and at $500 a year is was worth it to keep my 2 CCBill accounts and my Epoch account open. At $1000 a year it isn't. I let my Epoch account lapse yesterday and one of my CCbill accounts is due for renewal next week, I think I will take the opportunity to let MC know where they can stick it.

Great post and good for you! We did exactly the same opted out of mastercard thru ccbill after 8 years said fuck them simple as that.

I know 100% and can prove 100% which I won't do on gfy but 3rd party billing is and was a barrier to me making transactions and sales...period

It should be obvious the cheesy rats need to be cleaned out of this biz..for the overall better efficiency of everyone.

There has to be another way and a better way where they do not have all of the control and access to data, and transactions.

Everyone should remember despite what mark prince would have you believe we are the ones who are the engine of the industry the middle men simply transfer funds...no innovation or skill required...that is how you keep them in check remind them of whatthey really are and never refer to them as anything other than middle men.

just keep reminding them in a subtle manner that you are the shot caller..and they are not.

It is a point that we may have to go to war over but we run this mother and they should conduct themselves in a manner that proves this fact.

Thank you VERY much for this information. As I've already stated I had already let go of the MC fee. But I need those re-bills back. That's 150-200$ a month and very old customers.

Thanks for the clarity, we all tend to overreact at times...you don't have to be white to be a racist LOL but glad to hear you are not a racist anyway.

We can all have different opinions on different things but where we should be united is against shady middle men and cheesy rats...we should form alliances and when the cheesy rats try funny business with one of us...we should pile up on them and make them think long and hard before they do it again.

We all know the sting of cheesy rat middle men just doing what the fuck they want to do with impunity taking monies that are not theirs and closing accounts and then coming to GFY and posting wanton lies thru their keyboards completely lying to the public trying to salvage and save their companies image!

I contacted them to have my rebills moved to ccbill. Now they tell me they are gone.
Those were very old rebills amounting to about 250$ a month.

I also just realized that these people are ex-ibill people and you must know they like to solicit business and that's how they got me a few years ago.

Segpay was started by ex Ibill employees so i have been waiting for shit like this to start.

Quoted for truth. Cathy and all of Segpay are excellent, honest, efficient, flexible and maybe most importantly, very helpful to both new and existing businesses. Goldbarsxxx I'm sorry dude but you handled this issue in the worst possible way. What you should have done is get someone on the phone, explain the issue, work it out and get a simple agreement by email. Bringing it to a public forum made you look bad, and made Segpay shine.

I have accounts with just about every 3rd party billing company and have my own merchant accounts. I don't play favorites, so I can say that SegPay one of, if not the best of the 3rd party options out there.

From their support, to sales to scrub they are fantastic. Wires are never late, EVER!

Before you go calling them shady, might want to check facts... SegPay clients get paid directly by the bank, we get paid before they do.
